The UFC returns to the APEX in Las Vegas this weekend for another Fight Night and both cards are loaded with some terrific bouts. A championship belt is going to be handed out this weekend, but there are going to be some other events that come with plenty of hype.
Even though this isn’t going to be one of the marquee events of the season, there will still be some great betting options to check out. Here is a look at some of the top fights scheduled this weekend, and the top bets that should be made.
Flyweight Fighters Set to Battle
The main event of the night is going to feature Amanda Ribas and Rose Namajunas battling it out in a flyweight fight between two top contenders. What makes this fight so interesting is that both fighters have split time between this division and the strawweight class.
Namajunas is the big betting favorites in this bout at -210, but there is more value in getting Ribas at +180 ahead of this fight. Both fighters have something to prove now that they are planning to stick in the flyweight class moving forward.
This should be a fight that goes the distance, and the points are going to be extremely hard to come by for both fighters. Go with Namajunas in this battle, but don’t expect to see Ribas giving up much at all in this battle.
A Heavyweight Fight Coming
Most of the Fight Nights that are put on by UFC have a co-main event, and that is going to be the case this weekend as well. This time it will be a pair of heavyweights meeting up as Karl Williams will be taking on Justin Tafa.
Williams is coming into this bout as the more experienced fighter, and he is also the betting favorite at -190. Tafa will be trying to pick up a big win in this bout, and he has odds set at +160 to get that done.
This is a matchup of two very exciting and aggressive fighters, and there will be a knockout delivered at some point in this bout. Since both fighters are going to be going for an early win, taking the underdog and betting on Tafa is going to be the way to go.
Talbot-Saaiman Set to Battle
One of the most exciting fights this weekend will take place on the main card as Payton Talbot will be favored against Cameron Saaiman. This is a matchup of young bantamweight fighters, and each fighter will be looking to pick up a career-altering win.
There is a chance that one of these men could be on the path to challenging or a belt at some point, but winning this fight is going to be a major key. Talbot is the slight betting favorite at -147, but Saaiman has some respect at +127 ahead of this fight.
This is another situation in which going with the underdog is going to be a great play as there is more value in that bet. Saaiman is going to put up a great show at the UFC APEX as he comes away with a win.
