Main Event – Sodiq Yusuff vs. Edson Barboza

The fight that the card is surrounding is this featherweight bout between Yusuff and Barboza. Barboza is a longtime UFC veteran who has been in the octagon with some of the best to ever do it at lightweight. Now, in the final chapters of his career, he moves down to featherweight to give the title one last push.

Yusuff is an exciting upcoming contender with a ton of athleticism and power. He has improved every time he steps foot in the octagon and is now coming off a pretty long layoff to test himself against a veteran of the sport.

In terms of picking a bet to make on this fight, we are going with Barboza to get his hand raised and be the underdog winner. You can get him at +145 at Bookmaker, and that’s a great deal.

Barboza’s length and distance control is on a whole other level than what Yusuff has seen inside the cage. The kicks to the legs and the body of Yusuff are going to slow him down a ton early on, and then that’s where Barboza can do most of his work. If someone stands in front of Barboza, he lets go of vicious combinations.

Take Edson Barboza to produce an upset at +145 at Bookmaker!

Other Key Fight Picks

Some other key fights on this card include the co-main event of the evening. Jennifer Maia looks to keep her winning streak going against a struggling Viviane Araujo. You can get Maia at -149 odds in this one. Her boxing is too sharp for Araujo, and she can defend takedowns. She is also a very experienced and high-level BJJ fighter.

Another fight to bang the book with is the bantamweight bout between Adrian Yanez and Jonathan Martinez. This fight is so closely matched and will be an awesome bout for fans to enjoy. The pick to make is taking this bout to go the distance at +130. They both are great, but the respect and the durability of both will allow this to go the full 15 minutes.

Lastly, the bonus pick of the night is taking the over 1.5-round total on the McKinney vs. Marotte fight. The lines are favoring the under because of how fast McKinney starts, but he’s going to be pacing himself differently this time, and Marotte is tough. That pick is +230 odds to go more than 7.5 minutes.
