After a brief weekend recess from the UFC, the company is back in action this Saturday night from the UFC APEX with a great card on deck. The headlining fight will be between lightweights Grant Dawson and Bobby Green.

Dawson (20-1-1) is the #10 ranked fighter in the stacked lightweight division, and Green (30-14-1) is a longtime UFC veteran who has a chance to become a top-10 contender yet again in the back half of his career.

Let’s take a closer look at this lightweight matchup and decide on who to bet on in this main event, along with other key bets to make on the rest of the card to BangTheBook this weekend!

Grant Dawson Priced at -425 To Deliver Against Bobby Green

Starting in the main event, we are seeing a highly-touted upcoming contender in Grant Dawson being a big betting favorite over the UFC veteran Bobby Green. Dawson is getting a -425 moneyline over the +325 Green.

This fight is super interesting because Green isn’t going to be an easy puzzle to solve. Dawson isn’t going to be able to outclass Green in any aspect of the fight, so this might be the toughest test for him to date.

Green needs to keep the fight weird and use all his tactics to throw Dawson off his game. The unorthodox movement and the wrestling defense are the keys for Green to win this one.

But with that being said, the APEX octagon is over 40% smaller than the usual cage, and that will play into Dawson’s advantage. Take Dawson to win a tough decision in this one at +265 at Bookmaker. He will be willing to grind a decision win using his wrestling when he can’t figure out Green on the feet.

Other Fight Night Picks & Betting Odds

This Fight Night card is actually stacked with plenty of awesome matchups to bet on. Starting on the prelims, go with Johnny Munoz Jr. to get a win over Qileng Aori. Aori is on a downslide in his career, and Munoz is looking for a big performance to get back in the winning column.

Onto the main card, we have a lot of big hitters going up against each other. This is a card where it wouldn’t be crazy to pick all five fights to end inside the distance. You have Cutelaba favored over Lins, Dober over Glenn, and Buckley over Morono. All three of those fights can end in minutes.

Also, the co-main event has one of the most exciting prospects in the UFC Joe Pyfer, going up against one of the most dangerous middleweights, Abdul Razak Alhassan.

Pyfer looks very good, and this is his chance to show that he can handle as much power as the middleweight division can throw at him. Take Pyfer to win inside the distance.

The only other must-bet pick on the main card is in a fight mentioned already: Drew Dober knocking out Ricky Glenn. Dober is itching to get back in the cage and put on a show in front of the fans, and this is just one of those matchups that screams KO.
