Week 15 of the 2021 NFL season goes on with Sunday Night Football from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, so we have prepared the best Saints vs. Buccaneers betting pick along with the latest odds update on BetOnline Sportsbook.

New Orleans has owned Tampa Bay over the last few years, going 6-1 straight up and ATS in their previous seven encounters. Back in Week 8, the Saints upset the Bucs as 4-point home dogs, 36-27. Tampa is a massive 11-point home fave for this one, while the totals are set at 45.5 points.

The Saints beat the Jets to snap their five-game skid

The injury-depleted New Orleans Saints got Alvin Kamara back last weekend and improved to 6-7 SU and ATS on the season with a 30-9 thrashing of the New York Jets. Kamara led the way with 27 carries for 120 yards and a TD, while Taysom Hill ran 11 times for 73 yards and a couple of scores.

Hill completed 15 of his 21 attempts for 175 yards against the Jets’ leaky defense. On the other side of the ball, the Saints’ defense held New York to 256 all-purpose yards and didn’t allow a touchdown on three red-zone attempts.

During their losing streak, the Saints have yielded 29.6 points per contest, while their offense couldn’t stay on the field enough to give defenders some time to rest. With Kamara back in the starting lineup, New Orleans looked like a decent offensive team in that comfortable win over the lowly Jets.

The Bucs aim for their fifth straight victory

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-3; 7-6 ATS) are riding a four-game winning streak following a 33-27 overtime victory to the Buffalo Bills in Week 14. They nearly blew a 21-point lead from halftime, scoring only three points since the break, while Breshad Perriman’s 58-yard touchdown decided the winner.

Tom Brady led the way for the Buccaneers, completing 31 of his 46 pass attempts for 363 yards and a couple of touchdowns, including that terrific toss in overtime. Brady also had seven totes for 16 yards and a TD. Chris Godwin tallied ten catches for 105 yards; Mike Evans added six receptions for 91 yards and a TD, while Leonard Fournette posted 19 carries for 113 yards and a TD.

The Buccaneers have hit a 30-point mark in four straight outings. Brady has thrown for nine touchdowns and three interceptions in that stretch, while Fournette has scored six touchdowns. Tampa Bay boasts the highest-scoring offense in the NFL, averaging 31.5 points per game.

Trends:

New Orleans:

  • 1-4 ATS in the last five games against the NFC
  • 2-4 ATS in the last six games overall

Tampa Bay:

  • 4-1 ATS in the last five games overall
  • 5-0 ATS in the last five games at home

New Orleans Saints vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pick

The Saints stunned the Bucs in Week 8 thanks to their defense. New Orleans forced three turnovers, picking off Tom Brady twice and scoring a pick-six. I’m looking for a different story this time around, though covering a double-digit spread will be a difficult task for the Buccaneers.

Both teams need a win, while Tampa should be fired up to beat the Saints for the second time in three meetings. The Bucs have a chance to eliminate New Orleans from the playoff chase and put an end to their dominance in H2H duels. I’m looking for Tampa’s defense to make the difference. The Buccaneers own the third-best run D in the league, and the Saints’ passing offense has been awful as of late.

Pick: Take Tampa Bay Buccaneers -11.0 at -110

The Total:

The over is 6-3 in the last nine meetings between the Saints and Bucs, while five of their previous six encounters have produced at least 50 points in total. Also, the over is 12-3 in Tampa Bay’s last 15 games against the NFC South, and it is 8-4 in New Orleans’ previous 12 games played in December, so I would ride the betting trends.

Both teams should struggle to run efficiently, but they’ll have a nice opportunity to move the ball through the air. The Saints allow 244.5 passing yards per game (18th in the NFL), while the Bucs surrender 251.8 (25th).

Pick: Go over 45.5 points at -110
