Denver struggled to control the Minnesota bench, which had four players score in double digits, including Tauren Prince with 23. Denver was led by Nikola Jokic with 21 points, 16 rebounds, and eight assists. Jokic continues to be an absolute beast this season, averaging 25.9 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game. He is a 57.2% shooter, including 81.4% from the free-throw line.

Denver is a team that needs strong play defensively to win games. They are 11th in the NBA in points allowed per contest (107.4), but have shot well, fifth in field-goal percentage (47.1%). Aaron Gordon (51.9%) and Jeff Green (51.3%) are both hitting over 50% of their shots.

Jazz Skid Continues

The Utah Jazz (30-21) lost their fifth straight game when they lost to Minnesota on Sunday, 126-106. The Jazz are suddenly struggling to score, scoring below 110 points in all five of their losses. The losing streak has now dropped the team to fourth place in the Western Conference. Utah is 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10.

Minnesota totally dominated this contest, hitting 55.1% of their shots. Bojan Bogdanvic led the Jazz with 23 points. Mike Conley had 22. With Mitchell and Gobert out, the pressure is on Bogdanovic and Conley to step up. Bogdanvic is averaging 17.9 points per game while Conley is at 14.2 per contest.

The loss of 41 points and nearly 20 rebounds is a lot to replace, and those filling in simply are not up to the task.

However, the Utah defense is getting torched lately, giving up 115 points or more in three of their last four games. The Nuggets have been playing well all offensively of late, scoring at least 110 points in eight straight games, including hitting better than 120 in two of their last four games. Look for a total around 228.
