The 2022 NBA Playoffs continue with Game 5 of the Westen Conference Finals between Dallas and Golden State, so we have prepared the best Mavericks vs. Warriors betting pick along with the latest team stats, news, and odds.

The Mavericks beat the Warriors 119-109 as 1.5-point home favorites in Game 4 to avoid elimination. Dallas opened as a 7-point road dog with a total of 215.5 points for Thursday’s clash at Chase Center in San Francisco, according to BetDSI Sportsbook

The Mavs made 20 triples to stay alive

The Dallas Mavericks have been pretty much awful through the first three games of the conference finals. They bounced back last Tuesday, outlasting the Dubs by ten points on the back of their offense. The Mavs made 50.0% of their field goals and went 20-for-43 from beyond the arc while handing out 30 assists.

Luka Doncic led the way once more, amassing 30 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists, and a couple of steals and blocks. He finally got support from his teammates, as six more Mavs scored in double figures. Dorian Finney-Smith tallied 23 points on 9-for-13 shooting from the field, while Reggie Bullock scored 18 points on 6-for-10 shooting from deep.

Bullock went 0-for-10 from the field in Game 3 and missed seven shots from downtown. The Mavs lost 109-100 despite Luka Doncic’s 40-point performance, as they shot only 40.0% from the field and 28.9% from beyond the arc (13-for-45).

The Warriors dominated the Mavs at Chase Center

The Golden State Warriors have gone 3-0 SU and ATS over their previous three contests against the Mavericks. They routed Dallas 112-87 in Game 1, allowing their rivals to shoot only 36.0% from the field. Game 2 saw a much better offensive performance from the Mavs, but the Warriors were scoring at will in a 126-117 victory.

After that 109-100 win in Game 3, the Warriors slowed down last Tuesday, trailing by as many as 29 points. They outscored the Mavs 39-20 in the fourth quarter and still lost by ten. The Dubs went 10-for-28 from beyond the 3-point line and missed nine of their 26 free-throw attempts.

Stephen Curry led the way for the Warriors in Game 4, tallying 20 points, eight assists, and five rebounds. Draymond Green had ten points, six boards, and six assists, while Klay Thompson added only 12 points, one rebound, and one dish.

Trends:

Dallas:

  • 1-5 ATS in the last six games on the road

Golden State:

  • 4-1 ATS in the last five games overall
  • 9-2 ATS in the last 11 games at home

Dallas Mavericks vs. Golden State Warriors Pick

I was expecting the Warriors to finish the job in Game 4, but the Mavs finally had a good day. Golden State shouldn’t miss another opportunity, though covering a seven-point spread might be a tricky task.

The Warriors have gone 10-1 SU and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games on the home court. They are struggling to cope with Luka Doncic, but the Dubs should slow down his supporting cast this time around.

Pick: Take Golden State Warriors -7.0 at -110

The Total:

The Mavs and Warriors are averaging 96.1 possessions per 48 minutes in this series, and Dallas is yielding 118.1 points per 100 possessions while scoring just 110.4 in a return. Games 1 and 3 flew under the total, while Games 2 and 4 went in the over.

Betting on the totals looks like a tricky job. The Mavs are trying to slow down things, but they are also taking a lot of 3-pointers. On the other side, the Warriors have hit a 109-point mark in each of the previous four tilts, so I lean toward the over.

Pick: Go over 215.5 points at -110
