The NBA betting action continues with a nine-game Wednesday card, so we have prepared the best Nets vs. Bulls betting pick and odds along with the latest odds update on MyBookie Sportsbook. Chicago and Brooklyn will wrap up their three-game regular-season series, and the Bulls will have a chance to sweep the Nets for the first time since the 1997-98 season.

Back in November, the Bulls hammered Brooklyn 118-95 as 1-point home underdogs. On December 8, 2021, they outlasted the Nets 111-107 as 2.5-point road dogs. The Bulls have won only four of their last 15 encounters with the Nets, while the under has hit in each of their previous six matchups.

The Nets got stunned in Oregon

The Brooklyn Nets (25-14; 14-24-1 ATS) are coming off a surprising 114-108 defeat at the Portland Trail Blazers this past Monday. Playing as firm 8.5-point road favorites, the Nets suffered their fifth loss in the last seven outings at any location while extending their ATS losing streak to seven games.

Kevin Durant accounted for 28 points against the Trail Blazers, topping the Nets’ scoring chart for the fifth consecutive game. Brooklyn missed James Harden (knee) which could be a lousy excuse for a loss to the injury-depleted Portland, while Kyrie Irving accounted for 22 points and eight rebounds in 40 minutes on the floor.

Kyrie is questionable to play Wednesday against the Bulls due to an ankle injury. Harden should return to action, while both LaMarcus Aldridge (foot) and Joe Harris (ankle) remain on the shelf.

The Bulls are topping the Eastern Conference

The Chicago Bulls opened their three-game homestand Tuesday night with the clash against the lowly Detroit Pistons that has been excluded from the analysis. They were sitting atop of the Eastern Conference with a 26-11 record, a couple of games ahead of the second-seeded Brooklyn Nets.

Back on Sunday, the Bulls put an end to their nine-game winning streak. They lost at the Dallas Mavericks 113-99, playing as small 2-point road dogs. The Bulls failed to cover for the fourth time in their last five outings, while DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine scored 20 points each.

Chicago still misses Patrick Williams (wrist) and Javonte Green (groin). Alex Caruso is in the medical protocols and could clear it Wednesday morning. The Bulls’ best players should be available for the Nets game barring any injuries in that home clash against Detroit.

Trends:

Brooklyn:

  • 0-7 ATS in the last seven games overall

Chicago:

  • 6-2 ATS in the last eight games at home

Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls Pick

The Nets have struggled with injuries and COVID-19 issues as of late, so it’s no strange they’ve gone 2-5 SU and 0-7 ATS over the last seven contests overall. The clash against the red-hot Bulls is another tough spot for Kevin Durant and his teammates, though we should see a proper nail-biter down the stretch.

Brooklyn is still one of the most dangerous teams in the league. I lean the Bulls because of their prolific offense, but this game could easily go either way, especially with Chicago playing on the back end of a back-to-back set. The Bulls score 112.6 points per 100 possessions (6th in the NBA) on a 47.3% shooting from the field (2nd) and 38.5% from beyond the arc (1st).

Pick: Take Chicago Bulls

The Total:

I’ve mentioned the Bulls’ prolific offense, and the Nets are not far behind. Brooklyn tallies 110.8 points per 100 possessions (13th in the league) on a 46.9% shooting from the field (4th) and 34.6% from downtown (17th).

Therefore, I’m backing the over on the totals, looking for both sides to execute well on the offensive end. Also, neither team prefers to play at a slow pace. Chicago averages 98.5 possessions per 48 minutes (14th), while Brooklyn records 99.6 (tied-6th).
