UFC returns to Canada this weekend for UFC 297 and this is an absolutely loaded card with some signature bouts. The UFC tries to reward fans in other countries with some great matchups, and there will be some Canadian flavor added to this event as well.

The main event will feature Sean Strickland vs Dricus Du Plessis, but there is also a co-main event that is going to have everyone’s attention as well. Not only are there going to be some great battles taking place, but there will also be some good betting opportunities to explore.

BET ON UFC 297 AT BOOKMAKER

Strickland-Du Plessis in Huge Showdown

Even though Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis are going to be fighting in the last battle of the night, this is where you should start your betting. The betting odds at BetOnline are extremely tight for this battle, and that shows just how great it could eb.

Strickland is the slight betting favorite at -139, but the odds for Du Plessis aren’t too far behind at +119. This is going to be for the middleweight belt, a title that is currently owned by Strickland after he picked up a shocking, yet thrilling victory.

Du Plessis also had a dramatic win of his own at UFC 290, and that victory got him into this championship title matchup. These are two fighters that are hungry for a victory, and the over/under line is set at just 1 ½ total rounds.

Don’t expect this to be a long bout, but you should go with the favorite in this one. Strickland will come out on top yet again as he gets the job done by getting past Du Plessis.

Bantamweight Belt Will Be Awarded

The bantamweight class is currently without a champion, but that’s not going to be the case after Saturday night. It’s going to be Raquel Pennington squaring off against Mayra Bueno Silva and the winner will take home the belt.

Silva is the betting favorite in this matchup at -157, but this is a fight that is expected to go the distance. There is some value in betting on Pennington at +137, and she will be looking to play some defense and drag this thing out as long as possible.

Since this fight will likely come down to points, you should be looking at betting on the upset in this one as Raquel Pennington is going to come up with the win at +137 (at Bookmaker).

Other Picks to Make

Both the main card and preliminary card are loaded with some good matchups, and there is a chance to make some real money at this event. Not all of the fights are going to be instant classics, but you can find some good value in the betting odds.

Sean Woodson is one fighter to watch on Saturday night as he is going up against Charles Jourdain. Betting on Woodson at +158 is the play to make as he is going to get the job done early.

Sometimes sticking with the betting favorite is the best course of action as well, and betting on Chris Curtis at -192 is another bet that you should be looking to make.
