The Brooklyn Nets are living up to the hype, are they not? They had a couple of superstars already (Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving) and then added another (James Harden), and immediately branded themselves as the favorites to win the NBA title. That holds true even through they were the #2 seed in the East.

They are set to move ahead to the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs as they carry a 3-1 lead into Tuesday’s matchup against the Boston Celtics.

It begins at 7:35 PM ET at TD Garden, and BetOnline customers know they can take advantage of all the props they could possibly want as well as live betting.

Here are their NBA playoff odds on this game:

Brooklyn Nets -12
Boston Celtics +12

Over 231.5 points -110
Under 231.5 points -110

The Nets had been beaten in Game 3, by a 125-119 count, and came away from it with a big concern about their ability to get physical with the Celtics. They may have gotten 39 points from Kevin Durant and 41 from James Harden, but Tristan Thompson was very much in their way. Thompson, who has played a big part in Cleveland teams that have won multiple Eastern Conference titles, had nine offensive rebounds, and Boston beat up Brooklyn on the glass, with a 46-37 advantage on the boards.

Along with that, there was a boost to the offense. The Celtics shot only 39.8% in the first two games, but they nailed 50.6% of their shots in Game 3, due in no small part to second chances. And Jayson Tatum, who shot only 28% in the first two, tallied 50, as he’s assumed much more of the scoring burden in the absence of Jaylen Brown.

In Game 4, Durant and Harden combined for 81 points, and the Nets actually out-rebounded Boston 36-35, as Thompson was held to six caroms. The Nets were absolutely on fire, making 16 of 27 triples. And the Big Three shot 59% from the field. The Celtics were playing without Kemba Walker, who sat with a knee injury, and center Robert Williams, who’s got turf toe. The Nets had 112 points after three quarters. And they cruised to a 141-126 victory.

Look – it’s clear what Brooklyn’s game plan is. They just want to beat opponents to death with their offense. They’re well equipped for it, and Kyrie Irving ought to be a little charged up after getting that water bottle thrown at him on his visit to the TD Garden. Joe Harris is 53.6% from downtown in the series, and the Nets are simply not missing from the free throw line (almost 93%). So they’re not leaving points on the table.

Tatum could well stay pretty hot; he’s hit for 90 points in his last two games. And the Celts are going to get their share of second-chance points. But remember, the Nets had the highest Offensive Rating in history this season (meaning that they scored more points per possession than anybody has since that kind of thing has been measured). And we’re starting to see what can happen – the figure in this series (130.3) is 12 points better than it was in the regular season.

Of course, this is a very sizable number for them to lay.But you get the feeling they could take care of this total all by themselves. So we are, naturally, OVER in this one.
