Game two of the Western Conference Second Round series is set for Thursday night when the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Golden State Warriors. It was an exciting game one and this series could produce some classic games. Below is my NBA pick for the Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors Betting Pick

The Pick: Los Angeles Lakers +5.0

This game will be played at Chase Center at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023.

Why Bet the Golden State Warriors:

✅ Los Angeles has covered the spread in four of their last five games played.

✅ The Lakers are hot and have won eight of their last 10 games overall.

✅ Golden State has covered the spread in just one of their last five games against the Lakers.

Los Angeles Lakers Grabbed Home Court Advantage

The Los Angeles Lakers had two extra days of rest and that seemed to play a factor in their game one win. Golden State came out of the gates well, but as they game got later the Lakers took control and they won 117-112.

The Warriors led by two after the first quarter, but the Lakers turned it around and led by one at the half. Los Angeles extended their lead to eight heading into the third quarter and were able to hold on for the game one win. A solid win for a team that went just 20-21 away from home during the regular season.

Anthony Davis went off in game one with 30 points, 23 rebounds, five assists, and four blocks. LeBron James added 22 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks in the impressive game one win.

The Golden State Warriors Need to Rebound

Golden State will be disappointed with the loss, but it was a quick turnaround from their intense game seven win on Sunday. The Warriors started and ended the game strong, but the middle two quarters cost the game one win. This should be a long series and Golden State won’t be stressing about losing one game.

Kevon Looney is turning into a beast of the boards as he had 23 rebounds to go with 10 points and five assists, in game one. Steph Curry added 27 points, six rebounds, and three assists in the defeat.
