Game six of the Western Conference Second Round series is set for Saturday night when the Dallas Stars visit the Seattle Kraken. This series is now do-or-die for the home team and they will hope their great home crowd can help push them to game seven. Below is my NHL pick for the Dallas Stars vs Seattle Kraken.
The Pick: Dallas Stars -143
This game will be played at Climate Pledge Arena at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
✅ Dallas has been good over the past month having won 13 of their last 17 games played.
✅ Against Seattle, the Stars have won six of their last nine meetings.
✅ The Kraken have struggled at home having won just two of their six games in Seattle.
Dallas found themselves trailing this series 2-1, but two dominant wins in a row has them one win away from the Western Conference Finals. The Stars are looking to make their sixth appearance in the conference finals and their first since the 2019-2020 season.
Game five saw the Stars come out firing as they opened the scoring just 3:57 into the game and made it 2-0 less than two minutes later. The score remained 2-0 until 35 seconds into the second period when Dallas made it 3-0. Seattle did not give up as they scored the next two goals and made it a 3-2 game heading into the third. It was too little, too late for the Kraken as Dallas scored two unanswered goals in the third period to give them the 5-2 victory.
Roope Hintz, two goals, was joined on the scoresheet by Wyatt Johnston, Joe Pavelski, and Radek Faksa. Five different Stars recorded an assist in the victory.
The Seattle Kraken Are Fighting for Their Season
Seattle has had a fantastic second season, but they are now just one loss away from it all coming to an end. The Kraken were not a great home team during the regular season, but they will need to use the energy in their rink to get them to game seven in Dallas.
In the game five defeat, Adam Larsson, and Jared McCann each got on the scoresheet. Four different Kraken players recorded an assist on the night.
