The 2022 NBA Playoffs Semifinals continue Monday, May 9, with the Eastern Conference battle at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, so we have prepared the best Celtics vs. Bucks betting pick along with the latest odds update on Bookmaker Sportsbook

The Bucks host the Celtics for Game 4, looking to increase their lead in this series. Milwaukee opens as a small 1-point fave, while Boston is a -105 moneyline underdog with a total of 212.0 points.

The Celtics look to bounce back from a tough loss in Game 3

The Boston Celtics were so close to restoring a home-court advantage this past Saturday. After splitting the first two games at TD Garden in Boston, the Celtics suffered a 103-101 defeat in Game 3 at Fiserv Forum.

Boston outscored Milwaukee 34-23 in the fourth quarter but failed to come out on top. Al Horford’s potential tying basket came just after the buzzer. Horford had a great game, finishing with 22 points, 16 rebounds, and five assists, while Jaylen Brown posted a line of 27 points, 12 boards, and four dimes.

Jayson Tatum reportedly struggled with a wrist injury. He went only 4-for-19 from the field, tallying ten points, three assists, and four blocks in 41 minutes on the floor. The Celtics shot just 36.8% from the field and 27.3% from beyond the 3-point line (9-for-33).

The Bucks have a lead thanks to The Greek Freak

The Milwaukee Bucks are without Khris Middleton, who suffered a knee injury in the first-round series against the Chicago Bulls. The reigning champs desperately needed Giannis Antetokounmpo at his best, and The Greek Freak delivered in Game 3 against the Celtics.

Antetokounmpo dominated Boston all night, tallying 42 points on 16-for-30 shooting from the field and 9-for-12 from the charity stripe. He also had 12 rebounds, eight assists, and a couple of steals and blocks.

Jrue Holiday accounted for 25 points and seven boards last Saturday, while Brook Lopez posted a double-double of 13 points and ten rebounds. The Bucks made 40.4% of their field goals and just 26.5% of their 3-pointers (9-for-34).

Trends:

Boston:

  • 5-1 ATS in the last six games overall
  • 7-0 ATS in the last seven games on the road
  • 5-0 ATS in the last five road games against Milwaukee

Milwaukee:

  • 1-6 ATS in the last seven games at home
  • 1-9 ATS in the last ten games against Boston

Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks Pick

The Celtics have to take advantage of Khris Middleton’s absence. Jaylen Brown played well in Game 3, but Jayson Tatum needs to step up and bounce back from his dud. On the other side, the Bucks will continue to feed Giannis Antetokounmpo, who made only 38.5% of his field goals through the first two contests of the series.

We should see another tight clash. Both teams are capable of playing tough defense, and I lean the Celtics because they should have more quality scoring options than the Bucks.

Pick: Take Boston Celtics +1.0 at -110

The Total:

Through their first three encounters of the series, the Celtics and Bucks have averaged 98.7 possessions per 48 minutes. Despite playing at a steady pace, all three contests have gone under the total. The Celtics scored 89 points in the opener, while the Bucks accounted for only 86 in Game 2.

The under is 5-1 in the Celtics’ last six games overall, and it is 8-0 in the Bucks’ previous eight. I’m expecting to see another hard-fought, defensive battle, so give me the under on the totals.

Pick: Go under 212.0 points at -110
