The 2023-24 college basketball season is officially underway, but the real action isn’t going to heat up until later this month. College basketball is known for having a ton of great tournaments early in the year, and the biggest programs tend to get involved.

The Battle 4 Atlantis is one of those big events, and it’s another loaded field that is set to compete for this title. Betting odds for the Battle 4 Atlantis are now out, and it’s the perfect time to start to make some wagers.

Here is a look at the betting favorites for this tournament in November, and a prediction on how things are going to play out.

Four Teams Stand Out

Most of these early season college basketball tournaments are looking for drama, and they tend to get as many good teams as possible. This is one of the events in which all of top programs look to attend, and it should create quite a battle.

The Arkansas Razorbacks are the early betting favorites at the Battle 4 Atlantis with odds set at +300. Arkansas made a deep run through the NCAA Tournament a season ago, and they might be even better this season.

Arkansas is not an overwhelming favorite in this event though as the North Carolina Tar Heels are right behind them at +325 (at BetDSI). UNC had an abysmal 2022-23 season, but it isn’t going to take them long to reload.

The Villanova Wildcats are another team expected to win this event as they have betting odds set at +375. Villanova always seems to play a great brand of basketball, and that matters early in the season.

Finally, you will see the Memphis Tigers at +450, and they are the fourth team expected to win in the first round of the event. Memphis is a hard team to figure out, and they are going to be without one of their best players this season.

Rest of the Field

College basketball is a sport followed by many because it tends to come with a ton of surprises. With that in mind, you should take a look at the betting odds for all of the teams in this field as there will likely be an upset at some point.

Before briefly discussing the rest of the field, here is a look at teh betting odds that you are going to see:

  • Stanford +1200
  • Texas Tech +1200
  • Michigan +1600
  • UNI +6600

Besides Northern Iowa, those other three teams are all from a Power 5 Conference and are contenders to reach the NCAA Tournament this year. Stanford is a sneaky good team and an underdog pick that might be worth making.

Michigan would be a team to watch in this event, but they are currently playing without head coach Juwan Howard. That’s going to hurt the Wolverines in this event, but keep an eye on his status ahead of the Battle 4 Atlantis.

Razorbacks Ready to Roll

Based on how the tournament bracket is set up, you should look at seeing a North Carolina vs Arkansas matchup in the title game. If you are a fan of high-scoring games then this would be the matchup that you want to see in  the final game of the tournament.

North Carolina has enough athletes to battle with Arkansas in this game, but it’s unclear if they will shoot well enough to win a big game. Arkansas should be able to get a ton of easy buckets, and that matters at this point of the year.

Bet on Arkansas Razorbacks at +300 to win the Battle 4 Atlantis in what will be a great event.
