Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay recently told members of the media that wide receiver Cooper Kupp would be returning to practice this week. Kupp hasn’t been on the field since suffering a hamstring injury on August 1, but he is expected to have another huge season in Los Angeles.
The Rams are not going to be a good team in 2023-24, but watching Cooper Kupp play football will be a reason to tune in every weekend to follow this team. Kupp is one of the best receivers in the game, and there are two other players that can make that claim as well.
Since wide receivers are getting some attention, here are three betting markets to look at for this skill position.

Most Receptions
One of the first bets to look at when looking at markets for a wide receiver is the league leader in terms of total receptions. Kupp, Ja’Marr Chase, and Justin Jefferson are the trio of superstars at this position, but there are some other players in the mix as well.
Kupp is actually the favorite to have the most receptions during the 2023-24 NFL season as he enters the year with odds at +600. That makes a ton of sense, as Kupp is known for running quick routes, and the team wants the ball in his hands.
The rest of the odds at the top of the board look like this:
- Justin Jefferson +800
- Ja’Marr Chase +800
- Davante Adams +1000
- Tyreek Hill +1000
These other four players on the list are all going to be future Hall of Famers at this rate, but they go about their business in a different way. Adams is similar to Kupp in how he is used by his team, but he has never been someone to watch in this category.
If you are going to bet on the most receptions, then you will want to back Cooper Kupp.
Jefferson Can’t be Stopped
When it comes to the most receiving yards, the odds are going to look a bit different. You are still going to see the same players near the top of the leaderboard, but having the most receiving yards means that a player just can’t be slowed down.
Here are the odds for this betting market:

- Tyreek Hill +1000
- Cooper Kupp +1400
The one big value play here would be going with Tyreek Hill at +1000 because, usually, all of his receptions are big plays. He can rack up yardage at over 50+ yards a reception, but teams always throw an extra safety on him.
Justin Jefferson is the big favorite in this market, and it’s for a good reason. Jefferson is a player that you simply can’t cover, and teams haven’t been able to get him to the ground after he makes a reception.
Take the favorite in this market as well and go with Jefferson at +600.
Burrow Helps Chase Lead League
While racking up receptions and receiving yards is important for wide receivers, it’s also important to be able to find the end zone. Most teams still run the football down in the Red Zone, but these players give their teams a big weapon in the passing game.
Ja’Marr Chase is the favorite at +550 to have the most receiving touchdowns in 2023-24, and his quarterback plays a big role in that. Joe Burrow is always looking for Chase in the red zone, and that gives the WR plenty of chances.
Cooper Kupp and tight end Travis Kelce are next on the list at +850, and both of those players will receive plenty of targets as well. Kelce is an interesting name to watch in this market, as he has been known to take over a game.
You can’t ignore Chase when it comes to this market, and taking him at +550 is the best bet to make.
