With another Fight Night event coming to the APEX in Las Vegas this weekend, let’s take a look at the best bets to make. This event will be headlined by a women’s bantamweight bout between former world champion Holly Holm and Brazilian rising contender Mayra Bueno Silva.

Events held inside the APEX nowadays are the most underrated because of the lack of audience in attendance. Most of these events are packed with upcoming talent and exciting fights.

Before placing your bets on this weekend’s fights, let’s take an extra look at any you might be overlooking on Saturday night.

Main Event – Holm vs. Silva

Starting at the main event, 41-year-old Holly Holm is one fight away from another title shot late in her career. A win against a tough, young opponent would put her in position to compete for the vacant bantamweight title later this year.

Silva is on fire in the division with three-straight wins and two submissions in a row. She is 10-2-1 in her professional career, and her last loss in the UFC was in the flyweight division to the very talented Manon Fiorot.

The arrow points to Silva to get the job done on Saturday night. The oddsmakers think differently, but this is a great opportunity to get a big pay out on an underdog that has the chance to make it look quite easy.

The UFC needs Silva to win this fight because she is so much more fun to watch and will be a great addition to a title fight or a #1 contender fight–more so than a 42-year-old Holly Holm would be.

Other Key Fights

The other fights on this card are very exciting. We have automatic fight-of-the-night contenders like Terrance McKinney vs. Nazim Sadykhov, Ottman Azaitar vs. Francisco Prado, and even an exciting coming out party for Chelsea Chandler in the mix.

To really go against the public and the books, going with the over 1.5 rounds in the McKinney-Sadykhov and the Azaitar-Prado fights might be the play. The odds are favored for the under to hit, so sweating out 7.5 minutes of those fights might be a fun way to spend your Saturday night.

There should be a lot of finishes in all of these fights. McKinney is either going to finish Sadykhov, or he will be gassed out and lose in the second or third round. Azaitar is going to catch Prado early on, and if Prado is tough enough, the fight will leak into the second round before Azaitar finishes him.

A women’s fight that everyone should be interested in is this featherweight bout between Dumont and Chandler. Chelsea Chandler is planning on becoming a star in this sport, and she has the ability to do so. She knows that she needs to talk the talk and walk the walk.

Underdog picks are the way to go: McKinney at +125, Chandler at +120, Azaitar at -105, and Silva at +150. All of these picks look way too good to pass up at these odds. All of these fights will most likely end inside the distance as well, with how dynamic all of these fighters are.
