We’ve got another UFC Fight Night on tap this weekend as the MMA promotion returns to the Apex in Las Vegas. The premier event is a battle between Mackenzie Dern and Angela Hill as they both try to rise on the women’s side. Let’s take a look at that bout along with the odds at BetAnySports.eu as well as two others that might offer some betting value.

Mackenzie Dern vs. Angela Hill

Odds At BetAnySports.eu: Dern -190

The main event and most anticipated fight of the night will be the Mackenzie Dern and Angela Hill showdown. Dern won 11 out of her first 12 fights but is coming into this bout after losing two of her previous three. There’s no question that we’ve seen her reach peak performance when bringing opponents to the ground and taking it from there. Taking opponents down has been a struggle lately and it’s resulted in her relying upon her stand-up game instead. That hasn’t worked out as well.

As for Hill, she’s been an overall force in the strawweight division for some time now. Hill will likely prefer to keep Dern standing up and take advantage of her talents from there. We’ve also seen Hill take down Loopy Godinez and Emily Ducote to end off her 2022 year.

Dern is a mid-size favorite here as she’s expected to dictate the pace. However, it feels like there could be some value with Hill.

Pick: Hill via Decision

Edmen Shahbazyan vs. Anthony Hernandez

Odds At BetAnySports.eu: Hernandez -300

Edmen Shahbazyan took a year off from fighting after he suffered three straight losses. Since his return, though, he was able to get a second-round stoppage against Dalcha Lungiambula in December. This fight can help him get some more momentum. Remember, he started his UFC career 4-0, so he’s trying to get back to that success.

Anthony Hernandez has lost two of his first three bouts but has won three straight since that moment. That difference in momentum between the two fighters is why Hernandez is a big favorite here.

Two of his recent wins were submission victories against difficult opponents. Don’t be surprised if he picks up another one in this spot.

Pick: Hernandez via Submission

Andre Fialho vs. Joaquin Buckley

Odds At BetAnySports.eu: Buckley -240

Andre Fialho and Joaquin Buckley have the potential to be earn Fight of the Night honors. Fialho has gone the distance in his last four fights, winning two of them. However, those two losses happen to be his last two fights, so he’s in a bit of a slump.

Buckley, on the other hand, is going to be appearing in the welterweight division for the very first time. He’s lost the last two fights before this with one of them being a knockout loss to Chris Curtis in the middleweight division. Going into a different weight class for the first time makes this an interesting battle for him.

With how these fighters compete, there’s a chance we don’t see this one going the distance. Fialho is a very entertaining fighter and his fights don’t usually last long. That could be because he’s earning the win or a quick loss, though. He takes a whopping 6.22 strikes per minute, so that doesn’t seem like it will work well against a powerful bruiser like Buckley.

Buckley is probably going to come away with the win but the better bet is that this fight does not go the distances. Someone will find their way to a finish rather early as the two dish out and take plenty of damage right off the bat.

Pick: Fight Will Not Go The Distance
