Two teams with high expectations begins a three-game series when the Seattle Mariners (10-12, 3-3 away) visit the Philadelphia Phillies (11-12, 6-4 home) on Tuesday. Both teams have struggled a bit to start the season, but this should still be a fun measuring stick for each team. Below is my MLB pick for the Mariners vs Phillies.

Seattle Mariners vs Philadelphia Phillies Betting Pick

The Pick: Philadelphia Phillies -105 at BetAnySports

This game will be played at Citizens Bank Park at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Why Bet the Philadelphia Phillies:

✅Philadelphia has been playing well over the last few days and have now won four of their last five games played.

✅ The Phillies are 4-1 in their last five meetings with the Mariners.

✅ Seattle has lost four of their last six games played.

Seattle Mariners Coming off a Much-Needed Series Win

The Seattle Mariners have been pretty bad this season, but they hosted the St. Louis Cardinals over the weekend and won two of the three games. Seattle started the series with a 5-2 win on Friday and 5-4 win on Saturday, but they could not finish off the sweep on Sunday. It is early, but Seattle is fourth in the AL West and are 4.5 games back of first place Texas.

Logan Gilbert is set to take the mound for the fifth time this season and will look to build on his 3.57 ERA and 1.01 WHIP.

Jarred Kelenic is off to a great start as he leads the Mariners with six home runs and a .319 batting average. Eugenio Suarez has a team high 15 RBIs.

The Philadelphia Phillies Took Advantage of a Bad Team

Philadelphia hosted the Colorado Rockies for a four-game series and earned a 3-1 win. A much-needed result for a Philadelphia fan base that has been on edge. The Rockies won game one 5-0, but the Phillies came roaring back to win game two and game three by a scoreline of 4-3. It was a much easier Sunday that saw the Phillies secure the series win with a 9-3 victory.

Bailey Falter will make his fifth start of the season and will look to improve on his 4.50 ERA and 1.18 WHIP.

Philadelphia has been balanced at the dish as Brandon Marsh has a team high .364 batting average, Kyle Schwarber has mashed five home runs, and Alec Bohm leads the way with 18 RBIs.
