The final NCAAB game on the schedule for Friday, March 3, will be played between these conference rivals in Colorado, and here you can get the best Lobos vs. Rams betting pick and odds.

New Mexico is looking to conclude the regular season with a win when they visit Colorado State at Moby Arena. The Lobos are slight 1-point favorites on BetOnline Sportsbook, while the total is set at 153.5 points. These Mountain West rivals will meet for the second time this year; the Lobos won 88-69 in New Mexico.

Lobos’ offense erupted against Fresno State

The New Mexico Lobos (21-9, 14-12-3 ATS) are not playing well at the moment; they lost six of the previous eight games but managed to win the most recent one. The offense exploded for 94 points in a 94-80 home victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs. The Lobos were excellent from the field (58.2%) and from downtown (53.3%), while the hosts made 22 free throws opposite Fresno State’s nine, which made the biggest difference in this win.

Senior forward Morris Udeze led the Lobos with a game-high 25 points and game-high nine rebounds. Jaelen House followed him with 24 points, five boards, and team-high five assists, Jamal Mashburn Jr. added 13 points, six rebounds, and two steals, Javonte Johnson scored ten, while KJ Jenkins contributed 11 points off the bench.

Rams disappointed in loss to San Jose State

The Colorado State Rams (13-17, 11-18-0 ATS) are playing in a hot and cold form of late; they won three of the last six games, but the latest game turned out to be a blowout defeat to the San Jose State Spartans on the road. The Rams scored a season-low 46 points in a 63-46 loss. Colorado State was weak from the floor (36.5%) and made only five triples opposite the Spartans’ 11, while the Rams hit just three of eight free-throw attempts.

Senior forward Patrick Cartier led the Rams with a game-high 17 points and team-high six rebounds. Isaiah Stevens scored ten points and these two were the only Rams in double digits.

Trends:

New Mexico:

  • 7-1 ATS in the last eight games played in March
  • 7-1 SU in the last eight games played on a Friday
  • 6-3 ATS in the last nine games against Colorado State

Colorado State:

  • 6-12 ATS in the last 18 games
  • 0-6 ATS in the last six games played in March.
  • 6-14 ATS in the last 20 games against the Mountain West rivals

New Mexico Lobos vs. Colorado State Rams Pick

The Lobos are much better than the Rams when it comes to scoring points, and I am backing the visitors to outscore the hosts here. New Mexico has a top 20 offense that averages 81.1 points per game, while Colorado State is averaging 72.4 ppg. These rivals are pretty tied defensively, so I believe a better offense is going to prevail. The Lobos scored at least 71 points in each of their last four games, and another 70+ point display should be enough for a victory here given the Rams haven’t been playing well offensively of late.

Pick: Take the Lobos at -1 (110)

The Total

The Rams do have problems offensively, but only when playing on the road. They scored 70+ points in each of their last eight at home, while their defense has been quite leaky over that stretch as they conceded 70+ in seven of those eight. The total has gone Over in 12 of Colorado State’s last 17 games; the total went Over in ten of the Rams’ previous ten games at home, the total has gone Over in nine of New Mexico’s last 11 games., while the total went Over in five of the Lobos’ previous five games on the road.

Pick: Go Over 151.5 points (-130)
