Most NFL teams have completed three weekends of games, and you can already start to make some future predictions based on the early action. Even though there is still time for things to change in a big way for every team, some early trends that have developed are going to last.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles were the favorites to win the Super Bowl heading into the year, and both of those teams have played well up to this point. They should not be the Super Bowl favorites now, though, as a new team has emerged.

It should be the Miami Dolphins that enter Week 4 as the Super Bowl favorites, even if the odds don’t show that at this time. Miami has looked nearly perfect through three games, and it’s time to start believing in what is going on down there.

Dolphins Are Explosive

The old adage says that “defense wins championships,” but the Miami Dolphins are trying to win games in a completely different fashion. Miami does actually have a solid defense this season, but it is their offense that should make them the Super Bowl favorites.

The Dolphins have averaged 552 yards of total offense through the first three games, and they are on pace to break the single season scoring record. While it’s a bit too early to predict that they are going to set that record, they clearly have the tools to make a good run at it.

Miami just hung 70 points on the Denver Broncos in Week 3, and that was their first time to play at home in front of their fans. The passing attack sets the tone for the Dolphins, but they are also averaging 188 rushing yards per game as well.

Things will get a bit tougher for the Dolphins once they start to play teams in the AFC East, and that is going to be the case in Week 4. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill is going to be tough to stop for any opponents, and he has already scored four touchdowns this season.

As long as the Dolphins are able to stay healthy, especially at the quarterback position, then the sky is the limit for this team.

A Look at the Odds

Things tend to change quickly in the NFL, and that includes the betting odds that go right along with the action. It’s no surprise to see the Dolphins have their Super Bowl odds changing in a big way, but they still aren’t the betting favorite.

You can currently get the Dolphins at +800 to win the Super Bowl, and there are actually three teams with better odds. Miami is going to eventually become the favorite to win the Super Bowl if they continue to play like this, and it might be the perfect time to get in on the action.

It is the San Francisco 49ers that are the betting favorites to win the title, and they currently have odds set at +550. San Francisco has also looked impressive through three weeks, but they have done things the conventional way.

In the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs still have odds set at +600 to win the Super Bowl, and they are a team that is always going to be in the mix. Kansas City wants to play in a high-scoring game like the Dolphins, and Miami actually looks equipped to beat them in that style of matchup.

Miami is going to have to continue to win games if they want to stay near the top of the AFC, but don’t wait around long to bet on this team to win the title, as there is a ton of value at this time.
