One of the most interesting NBA games from a seven-game slate scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, will be played in Miami, so make sure you don’t miss out on the best Grizzlies vs. Heat betting pick and odds.

Memphis is searching for the fourth consecutive win when they visit Miami at Miami-Dade Arena. The Heat are 4-point favorites on BetOnline Sportsbook, while the total is set at 219 points. These inter-conference rivals will meet for the second time this season; the Grizzlies won 101-93 in Memphis.

Grizzlies beat the Mavericks in a back-to-back set

The Memphis Grizzlies (41-26, 32-34-1 ATS) responded to a three-game losing skid with three straight victories. The last two came against the divisional foes Dallas Mavericks; the Grizzlies opened their three-game road trip with a 104-88 victory against the Mavs. Memphis decided the tilt in the third quarter which they won by 15 points, but the defense was impressive as it allowed a season-low 88 points. The Grizzlies kept the Mavs to 38.9% from the floor, had nine steals opposite Dallas’ three, and made ten more free throws than the hosts (16-6).

Desmond Bane led the Grizzlies with 27 points, seven rebounds, and game-high seven assists. Dillon Brooks added 19 points, five dishes, and two steals, David Roddy scored 19 points with five boards, Tyus Jones had 13 points and five rebounds, while Xavier Tillman chipped in ten points, game-high nine boards, and game-high three thefts.

C Steven Adams (knee), PF Brandon Clarke (Achilles), and PG Ja Morant (suspension) are out indefinitely and will not play on Wednesday in Miami.

Heat edged the Jazz in Miami

The Miami Heat (37-33, 25-43-2 ATS) bounced back from an overtime loss to the divisional and in-state rivals Orlando Magic on the road with a tight 119-115 victory over the Utah Jazz at home. The shooting from the foul line made a difference in this one; the Heat made 31 free throws opposite Utah’s 13. The Jazz were better in rebounds (48-37) and assists (31-20), but Miami had five more steals (12-7) than the visitors and forced 18 turnovers while committing 13 in return.

Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 24 points, eight rebounds, team-high four assists, a game-high four steals, and two blocks. Tyler Herro had 18 points and six boards, Gabe Vincent scored 18 with three thefts, while Bam Adebayo finished with 16 points and game-high nine rebounds.

C Cody Zeller (nose) and F Nikola Jovic (back) are out indefinitely. PG Kyle Lowry (knee) is questionable to meet the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Trends:

Memphis:

  • 4-9 ATS in the last 13 road games
  • 3-7 ATS in the last ten games following an ATS win
  • 8-21-1 ATS in the last 30 road games vs. a team with a winning home record

Miami:

  • 4-2 SU in the last six games
  • 5-1 SU in the last six games against the Southwest Division rivals

Memphis Grizzlies vs. Miami Heat Pick

The Grizzlies are still playing without Ja Morant and are without Steven Adams for the rest of the regular season, and I think that is going to help the Heat to beat the visitors on Wednesday. Memphis was lucky to face the shorthanded (Doncic and Irving were out) Mavericks in their last two games, but I believe the Grizzlies will not be that lucky against the Heat. Memphis has a better offense, but that offense is not as impressive without Morant on the floor, while the Heat’s defense, and particularly home defense, has been fantastic this season. I am backing the hosts to get a win here.

Pick: Take the Heat at -2.5 (-120)

The Total

Miami is scoring just 108.7 points per game this season, which is the weakest offense in the NBA. On the other hand, both Memphis and Miami belong among the top 5 defenses in the league; the Grizzlies allow 111.6 points per contest, while the Heat allow 109.5 ppg. Considering all of that, in a combination with Ja Morant’s absence, I expect to see a low-scoring affair here. Under is 17-5-1 in the Grizzlies’ last 23 overall; Under is 5-1 in Memphis’ previous six road games, while Under is 16-6 in the Heat’s last 22 games following a straight-up win.

Pick: Go Under 222.5 points (-130)
