An exciting Western Conference Finals gets underway Tuesday night when the seventh seed Los Angeles Lakers visit the top seed Denver Nuggets. Los Angeles has looking impressive during the postseason, but no team in the NBA has looked as good as these Nuggets. Below is my NBA pick for the Los Angeles Lakers vs Denver Nuggets.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Denver Nuggets Betting Pick

The Pick: Denver -6.0

This game will be played at Ball Arena at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

Why Bet the Denver Nuggets:

✅ Denver has been dominant in the playoffs and have covered eight of their last 12 games played.

✅ At home, the Nuggets have won eight consecutive games.

✅ Los Angeles is just 1-4 in their last five games at Denver.

Los Angeles Lakers Need to Steal One

Los Angeles followed up their series win over the Memphis Grizzlies with an impressive showing against the defending champs. The Lakers played the Golden State Warriors and needed six games to end their back-to-back title dreams. It has been a quality month buy LeBron and AD.

In their game six win, the Lakers were not playing around as they won the first quarter by five points and built a 10-point lead at the half. It was much of the same in the second half as Golden State came out flat and lost the third quarter by four times. Leading by 14 heading into the final quarter, the Lakers kept their foot on the gas and ended up winning 122-101.

LeBron James went off for 30 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists on the night. Anthony Davis added 17 points and 20 rebounds in the series clinching win.

The Denver Nuggets Are Favorites

Denver has looked like the best team in the NBA during the first two rounds of the playoffs. The Nuggets started their by beating Minnesota in five games and followed that up by eliminating the Phoenix Suns in six games. The favorites to lift the title are just eight wins away from achieving their goals.

In their game six win, Denver blew the Suns off the court. The Nuggets won the first quarter by 18 points and built a 30-point advantage at the half. It was a very lethargic second half that saw the Suns win the third quarter by three points and the final quarter by two points. An impressive series clinching win by the top seed.

Nikola Jokic went off for 32 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, and three steals in the win. Jamal Murray added 26 points, four rebounds, four assists, and four steals on the night.
