The Week 5 of the NFL will conclude with MNF on Monday, October 10, and this divisional rivalry game in Kansas City, so feel free to check out the best Raiders vs. Chiefs betting pick and odds.

Kansas City is looking to beat the divisional rivals and improve to a 4-1 record when they host Las Vegas at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs are 7-point favorites on MyBookie Sportsbook, while the total is set at 51 points. These AFC West foes have met twice in 2021, and the Chiefs won both games.

Raiders got their first win of the season

The Las Vegas Raiders (1-3, 1-3-0 ATS) finally recorded their first win of the season and it was against the divisional rivals Denver Broncos at home. Josh Jacobs and the defense led the team to a 32-23 victory, which was fully deserved as they were better in total yards (385-299) and first downs (25-12). The teams committed only one turnover in this game, but it was a crucial Amik Robertson’s 68-yard fumble return for a touchdown that changed the course of the tilt.

Derek Carr completed 21 of 34 passes for 188 yards. Davante Adams led all the receivers with 101 yards on nine catches, but the Raiders didn’t register a passing TD. On the other hand, the run offense was excellent, especially Josh Jacobs who ran for 144 yards and a couple of scores on 28 carries. Maxx Crosby was a constant menace for Denver’s offensive line and got a pair of sacks, while Divine Deablo led the team with eight tackles.

WR Hunter Renfrow (concussion), LB Denzel Perryman (concussion), and CB Rock Ya-Sin (knee) are questionable to play on Sunday against Kansas City.

Chiefs beat the Buccaneers in a high-scoring tilt

The Kansas City Chiefs (3-1, 2-2 ATS) bounced back from a tight loss to the Indianapolis Colts with a 41-31 road victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Chiefs controlled the game from the opening minute and had a double-digit lead since the end of the first quarter. It was a deserving win for the visitors who returned to the top of the AFC West.

Patrick Mahomes completed 23 of 37 passes for 249 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Travis Kelce received one of those TD passes and led the team in receiving yards with 92 on nine receptions. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who also had a receiving touchdown, led all the runners with 92 yards and a score on 19 carries. L’Jarius Sneed and Nick Bolton were active on defense with nine tackles apiece.

LB Willie Gay Jr. is still out due to suspension, while K Harrison Butker is questionable with an ankle injury.

Trends:

Las Vegas:

  • 1-4 ATS in the last five games overall
  • 1-5 ATS in the last six road games
  • 3-7 ATS in the last ten games on grass

Kansas City:

  • 6-2 ATS in the last eight home games
  • 7-3 ATS in the last ten games following an ATS win

Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs Pick

Las Vegas did beat the Broncos in Week 4, but that was at home, and now they will face the Chiefs on the road. After playing against one of the least efficient teams in the NFL, the Raiders now take on one of the best offenses in the league which is scoring 32.3 ppg. The Chiefs average 267.8 passing yards per game, while the Raiders are allowing 253.8 passing yards to their opponents. I am backing Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce to slice the Raiders’ defense and lead the Chiefs to victory.

Pick: Take the Chiefs to win at -6.5 (-135)

The Total

Kansas City has the best run defense in the league that is allowing just 65.8 ypg, so Josh Jacobs will not have an easy job in this one. I expect Derek Carr to have more passing attempts than he had against the Broncos, especially because the Chiefs are allowing 263.8 passing yards to their rivals. I am backing the Chiefs to outscore Las Vegas in a high-scoring game. Over is 4-0 in the last four H2H meetings; Over is 8-3 in the Raiders’ previous 11 vs. AFC West rivals, while Over is 9-3 in the Chiefs’ last 12 games overall.

Pick: Go Over 50.5 points (-120)
