The NCAAF continues with Bowl games next weekend, and we have a Las Vegas Bowl tilt on Saturday, December 17, so feel free to check out the best Gators vs. Beavers betting pick and odds.

Florida and Oregon State will battle for the $2,900,000 prize when they meet at Allegiant Stadium. The Beavers are firm -10.5 point favorites on BetDSI Sportsbook, while the total is set at 52 points. These non-conference rivals will meet for the first time.

Gators dropped to .500 after another loss

The Florida Gators (6-6-0, 7-5-0 ATS) lost four of their previous six games, including the last two to Vanderbilt and Florida State to drop to a .500 record (3-5 in conference play). Florida allowed a season-high 45 points in a 45-38 loss to the Florida State Seminoles, in a pretty entertaining game. The teams combined for 957 yards and 48 first downs, so nearly 80,000 people in the stands enjoyed it.

Anthony Richardson completed nine of 27 passes for 198 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Ricky Pearsall was impressive in his career night as he had 148 yards and a pair of receiving touchdowns on five catches. Jonathan Odom also found the end zone through the air, while the Gators were excellent on the ground. Trevor Etienne rushed for a career-high 129 yards and a TD on 17 carries, while Montrell Johnson Jr. also had 17 rushing attempts for 85 yards and a touchdown. On defense, Trey Dean III and Kamari Wilson combined for 17 tackles.

WR Justin Shorter (undisclosed), WR Xzavier Henderson (lower body), and WR Ricky Pearsall (lower body) are questionable to face the Beavers on Saturday.

Beavers finished in the top half of the Pac-12

The Oregon State Beavers (9-3-0, 10-2-0 ATS) finished the regular season with six wins in seven games to end in the top half of the Pac-12 conference. They are on a three-game winning streak; the Beavers concluded the regular campaign with a 38-34 home victory over in-state rivals Oregon Ducks. Oregon, who missed out on the opportunity to fight for the conference title after this defeat, had a massive 31-10 lead late in the third quarter, but the Beavers scored three touchdowns in the space of five minutes in the fourth to secure a comeback W.

Ben Gulbranson completed six of 13 passes for 60 yards and two interceptions. He did make amends on the ground with a pair of rushing touchdowns. Isaiah Newell also scored two rushing TDs, Deshaun Fenwick added one, and Damien Martinez recorded 103 yards on 15 carries. Defensively, Kitan Oladapo was a monster with a career-high 17 tackles, while Omar Speights and Kyrei Fisher-Morris combined for 24.

TE Luke Musgrave (undisclosed) and WR Anthony Gould (undisclosed) are questionable to feature on Saturday against the Gators.

Trends:

Florida:

  • 3-8 ATS in the last 11 non-conference games
  • 4-9 ATS in the last 13 neutral site games

Oregon State:

  • 6-0 ATS in the last six games overall
  • 4-0 ATS in the last four games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game
  • 5-1 ATS in the last six non-conference games

Florida Gators vs. Oregon State Beavers Pick

Florida is not playing well recently and will probably be without several key offensive players, so I am going with Oregon State in this one. The Gators have a poor defense this year that is allowing 28.8 points per game opposite the Beavers’ solid D that is allowing 21.4 ppg. Both teams are excellent on offense; the Beavers are a bit more successful in that regard, but their better defense is the biggest reason I am backing Oregon State. Also, the Beavers have been in a way better form in the last few weeks.

Pick: Take the Beavers at -8.5 (-133)

The Total

I am going with a high-scoring affair mainly because of Florida’s lenient defense. The Gators allowed 31+ points in four of their last six games, and I am sure Oregon State can score 30+ here. The Beavers managed to do so in each of their previous three games. Over is 7-0 in the Gators’ last seven games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game; Over is 5-2 in Florida’s previous seven neutral site games, while Over is 5-2 in the Beavers’ last seven neutral site games.Pick: Go Over 51.5 points (-120)
