Dallas Stars Looking to Get Home Ice Back
Dallas rebounded from a tough game one loss, in the best way possible, with a commanding 7-3 win in game two. It was a tight first period that saw the Stars lead 2-1 after 20 minutes, but the scoring was far from over. The Stars scored two unanswered goals to start the second period, but the Wild scored two of their own to make it 4-3 late in the second period. Dallas ended the game with three unanswered goals of their own to take the 7-3 win and to even the series up at one game apiece.
Roope Hintz had a hat trick and Evgenii Dadonov chipped in with two goals of his own. Miro Heiskanen was impressive on the night as he had four assists on the seven Stars goals.
The Minnesota Wild are Looking to Take Control
Minnesota may have lost game two, but they will be feeling good coming back to their home ice. The Wild were an impressive 25-12-4 at home during the regular season and two more wins would give them control of this first round series.
Oskar Sundqvist, Marcus Johansson, and Frederick Gaugreau all scored for the Wild in the loss. Minnesota was outshot 31-26 on the night.
