Game three of the Eastern Conference Finals is set for Monday night when the Carolina Hurricanes visit the Florida Panthers. This magical playoff run by the Panthers has continued into the Conference Finals and they are now just two wins away from knocking off the second-best team in the East. Below is my NHL pick for the Carolina Hurricanes vs Florida Panthers.

Carolina Hurricanes vs Florida Panthers Betting Pick

The Pick: Florida Panthers -113

This game will be played at FLA Live Arena at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023.

Why Bet the Florida Panthers:

✅ Florida is on fire having win nine of their last 10 games played.

✅ The Panthers have won seven of their last nine games against the Hurricanes.

✅ Carolina has lost three of their last five games played.

Carolina Hurricanes Are in Trouble

Carolina would have been big favorites to win this Eastern Conference Finals series, but everything has been flipped completely upside down. The Hurricanes lost both games at home and now find themselves in trouble heading into this Monday night battle.

Game two got off to a quick start as the Hurricanes crowd was firing from the start and Carolina got the scoring started just 1:43 into the game. The score remained 1-0 until midway through the second period when the Panthers tied it up 7:43 into the period. It was 1-1 heading into overtime when the Panthers went on the Power Play and scored the game winner just 1:51 into the extra period. A 2-1 win and a commanding 2-0 series lead for Florida.

In the game two defeat, Jalen Chatfield scored the only Hurricanes goal and he was assisted by Sabastian Aho and Stefan Noesen.

The Florida Panthers Have Something

Florida has been much better on the road during these playoffs, but they now have home ice advantage in this series and are just two wins away from advancing to the Stanley Cup. The Panthers were the last team to clinch their spot in the playoffs, beat the best regular season team in NHL history in the first round, and took out a Canadian favorite in the second round. A magical postseason is just six wins away from being completed.

Matthew Tkachuk, his seventh of the postseason, scored the game winning goal and he was joined on the scoresheet by Aleksander Barkov, his fourth, who tied the game up. Sam Reinhart, Sam Bennett, and Josh Mahura all assisted on the night.
