The NFL Draft is in Las Vegas in the month of April and the sportsbooks are very excited about the big event. So excited, in fact, that Brian Blessing had enough betting odds to record a video for us on the props that have been posted for the festivities April 23-25.
The first round picks will be unveiled on a makeshift stage in front of the iconic Bellagio fountains and most of the props are related to the first round. We know that the NFL is a passing league at this point in time, so wide receivers and quarterbacks are very much under the microscope when it comes to mock drafts and prop bets.
That is no different with the early offerings on the NFL Draft. Some of the prop betting questions that Brian posed on this video included the number of wide receivers taken in the first round with one of the best classes that we have ever seen, including Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, Henry Ruggs, Justin Jefferson, Tee Higgins, and several other candidates for first-round selections.
What about the SEC? How many players will come from the best conference in college football? A lot of players are leaving LSU early after that National Championship performance. How many of those guys go early alongside teammate Joe Burrow? The Alabama wide receivers are under the microscope. Defensive players from Alabama and Florida and Georgia.
But, the position on everybody’s mind at draft time is and will always be the quarterbacks. How many quarterbacks will go in the first round? That prop basically boils down to, “Will Jordan Love get drafted in the first round?” We know that Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, and Justin Herbert are locks to go in the first round. Will Love get taken? Will somebody like Jake Eason impress enough to get taken late in the first round?
Brian Blessing handicapped it all for us in this video preview with a look ahead to the 2020 NFL Draft.
