We started out a new work week with a new edition of The Bettor’s Box as we continue to try and keep some sense of normalcy here at BangTheBook. Host Adam Burke answered some listener questions in the Monday Mailbag and used one as the basis for the main part of today’s show.
We’ll have two race previews this week for each division of the Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park to go along with some additional futures stuff for college football and the NFL. It’s about all we can do right now until sports return.

Host Adam Burke was back on the airwaves today with a new edition of The Bettor’s Box. Some listener questions came in that led to a good discussion about being organized as a bettor with what could be a very busy fall on the horizon. Adam also shared some beer and bourbon recommendations per listener request.
A listener question regarding last season’s juiced baseball and its impact on regression analysis handicapping was a good one. Adam talked about the statistical outliers for both starters and relievers last year and how they did a number on his handicapping. He also addressed what last year’s outliers mean going forward and why it could be really tough to get started with betting on baseball this season.
