NCAAB – TRENDS OF THE DAY
As the first week of March goes along, the number of matchups in the conference tournaments across the NCAAB constantly grows, and today, we have more than 40 duels scheduled for the tip-off. Most of the showdowns feature teams that are not quite equally strong but the real deal will come during the weekend with only the best still standing, and fighting for the Championship titles.
As usual, we’ve exploited our professional expertise and managed to identify exactly eight picks that have the biggest chance of winning you some money today, but if you want to check every single today’s matchup, you can do it here. Let’s take a closer look at Thursday’s menu and happy International Women’s Day.
Here are a couple of most interesting duels today: SMU (16-15) vs. UCONN (14-17), Louisville (20-12) vs. Virginia (28-2), Boston College (19-14) vs. Clemson (22-8), Providence (19-12) vs. Creighton (21-10), Colorado (17-14) vs. Arizona (24-7), UNLV (20-12) vs. Nevada (26-6), Baylor (18-13) vs. West Virginia (22-9) and Butler (19-12) vs. Seton Hall (21-10).
- The Bears are 7-3 in their last 10 games overall.
The Baylor Bears are locking horns with the West Virginia Volunteers as part of the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals with the ATS line set at 5.0 points favoring the Volunteers. In our opinion, that is a bit different then most of the others, the Bears have the ATS edge here as they are also 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record, while the Mountaineers stand at 2-7-1 ATS in last 10 neutral site games.
- The Wolf Pack is 17-4 in last 21 games following a straight up loss.
The Nevada Wolf Pack is squaring off with the with the UNLV Rebels in the MWC Tournament quarterfinals and they have a good chance of overcoming the 6.5 ATS line that favors them. They are also 20-7-1 ATS in their last 28 games following an ATS loss while the Rebels stand at 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games following a straight up win.
- The Tigers are 1-4 in their last five games overall.
The Clemson Tigers have slowed down lately when it comes to ATS victories, and the ATS line set at 4.0 points in their favor is a bit too high against the Boston College Eagles who are 4-1 ATS in last five overall. Pick the Eagles.
- The Cavaliers are 6-1 in their last seven games following an ATS loss.
The No. 1 team in the country, the Virginia Cavaliers definitely has the ATS edge over the Louisville Cardinals (-7.5) according to both teams trends. Pick the Cavaliers.
- Over is 12-4 in Bulldogs last 16 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
The Big East quarterfinal matchup between Butler Bulldogs and Seton Hall Pirates holds one of the biggest high-scoring potentials of the day as the Pirates on the other side stand at 7-2 O/U in last nine games overall.
- Over is 7-0 in Buffaloes last seven games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
The Pac-12 quarterfinal duel between Colorado Buffaloes and Arizona Wildcats holds the strongest high-scoring potential of the day as both teams share multiple “Over” trends applicable to today’s matchup. The Buffaloes are also 4-0 O/U in last four neutral site games while the Wildcats are 6-0 O/U in last six games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
- Under is 8-1 in Friars last 9 vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
The first low-scoring matchup on today’s list comes from Madison Square Garden where the Providence Friars and Creighton Bluejays will determine the traveler to the Tournament semifinal. The Friars are also 4-13 O/U in last 17 neutral site games while the Bluejays stand at 2-5 in last seven neutral site duels.
- Under is 4-0-1 in Mustangs last five neutral site games.
The AAC first-rounder between SMU Mustangs and UCONN Huskies closes today’s list of picks. According to both teams tendencies, it should go Under the Totals line.
