NCAAB – TRENDS OF THE DAY
In some conferences, the regular season schedule ends this weekend while some have up to three more rounds of play. The 2017-18 season in college basketball is heating up with the month of March just behind the corner. Today, we have 100+ showdowns with full coverage set up here, but if you want to rely on our expertise in the matter and don’t have time to perform some kind of in-depth analysis, you won’t get wrong if you just copy some of the picks displayed below. Many crucial matchups are on the menu so let’s take a closer look.
Here are a couple of most interesting duels today including one H2H duel between top-25 ranked teams: Arizona (22-6) at Oregon (18-10), Auburn (24-4) at Florida (17-11), Arizona State (19-8) at Oregon State (13-14), Gonzaga (26-4) at BYU (22-8), Syracuse (18-10) at Duke (23-5), Kansas State (20-8) at Oklahoma (16-11), Kansas (22-6) at Texas Tech (22-6) and Virginia (25-2) at Pittsburgh (8-21).
- The Cavaliers are 10-1 in their last 11 road games.
The Virginia Cavaliers are among the top-three teams in the country at the moment and 20.5 ATS line that favors them against the Pittsburgh Panthers on the road sounds too high but it’s not. They are also 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 vs. ACC while the Panthers stand at 1-4 ATS in last six games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
- The Sooners are 1-11 in their last 12 games overall.
The Oklahoma Sooners are currently riding one of the longest negative streaks considering the ATS segment as they are also 1-10 ATS in last 11 games overall. The fact that their next foe, Kansas State Wildcats stand at 4-1 ATS in their last five road games makes this a mismatch.
- The Sun Devils are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record.
The Arizona Sun Devils are heading to Oregon in order to lock horns with the Beavers in a matchup in which they certainly hold the ATS edge at 2.0 points favoring them. Pick the Sun Devils.
The Tigers are 12-3 in their last 15 games vs. SEC.
One of the biggest positive stories of this season, the Auburn Tigers are currently riding a mean ATS streak inside the ATS conference as a result of a constant underestimation by the bookies. That’s the case again today with the line set 2.0 favoring the Florida Gators who are arguably much weaker team this year. Pick the Tigers.
- Under is 19-9 in Red Raiders last 28 games overall.
The onlyH2H matchup between ranked teams of the day holds the strongest low-scoring potential on our list. The Kansas Jayhawks and Texas Tech Red Raiders don’t feature a single high-scoring tendency that is applicable to today’s showdown between the two. Pick Under.
- Over is 22-5-1 in Orange last 28 road games.
The duel between Syracuse Orangemen and Duke Blue Devils should go Over in Totals according to the most recent tendencies by both teams. The Orange is also 4-1 O/U in last five games overall while the Blue Devils stand at 7-3 O/U in last 10 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points.
- Under is 13-3 in Bulldogs last 16 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
The constant oversetting of the ATS and O/U line in Gonzaga Bulldogs matchups have led to a plethora of negative ATS and Under records of last year’s runners-up and today, we’re going to use it against them. Pick Under in their duel versus BYU.
- Under is 10-4 in Ducks last 14 overall.
We’ll conclude today’s list of hot picks with a game with a strong low-scoring potential. The Arizona Wildcats are heading is squaring off with the Oregon Ducks on the road and both teams share lean towards “Under-games” lately. Don’t miss it.
