After an exciting weekend of baseball, Adam Burke took to the airwaves for the latest edition of The Bettor’s Box. This MLB betting podcast goes more in-depth than any other show out there with important statistical analysis and pertinent thoughts about the betting market. Listeners of this show are treated to a wide range of topics from sabermetrics and daily fantasy baseball to eye test observations and a study of the line moves. Everything about this show is designed to make you a better baseball handicapper. That’s what makes it such a valuable half hour of information.

Listeners of the show can also hit Adam up on Twitter at his handle, @SkatingTripods, to talk baseball betting, topics for the show, or any other sport at BangTheBook. He’s always willing to discuss baseball, as well as the other sports. Don’t hesitate to ask him for more clarification about sabermetrics or about the observations that he has seen in previous games.

The historic Toronto Blue Jays offense was the first subject of Monday’s look Beyond the Box Score. Toronto swept the Boston Red Sox and scored a ton of runs in the process this weekend. Are the Blue Jays going to sustain this type of production? What problems do they still have that could ultimately hold them back? How about the Boston Red Sox? The Red Sox pitching staff has been a problem all season and it was once again. During this segment, Adam also talked about the Tampa Bay Rays sweep of the Chicago White Sox, the Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers, and the surging Arizona Diamondbacks.

Plenty of line moves happened since the last recording of the show last Thursday. Adam took the time to break these down and give the listeners some insight as to why these lines moved and whether or not similar moves should be expected in the future. This segment also included his pick for Monday night, with a full slate of interleague games. Interleague games always have a lot of line movements and Adam explained some of the reasons why.

Continuing a topic that opened for discussion last week, listeners got an overview into how to use live box scores and win expectancy to make money live betting. With examples from the weekend and a bit more insight into how the process could work in your favor, this may be something that you want to dabble in over the next couple of weeks.

An exciting crop of young players was the subject of both Monday’s daily fantasy baseball tip, as well as the series that Adam is looking ahead to between now and Thursday’s next recording.
