A pair of aces are going to be on the mound for ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball betting encounter to wrap up the first full week of baseball, as the Texas Rangers take on the Los Angeles Angels at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

This hasn't exactly been the return home that OF Josh Hamilton was hoping for. He has been getting boos rained down upon him over the course of his first two games back in Arlington, and he has yet to log a hit. One man who definitely has lifted off though, is 1B Albert Pujols. Pujols was batting as a DH on Saturday, and he had two homers to show for his work. Now, this potent offense has a great supporting pitcher to rely upon on Sunday in RHP Jered Weaver. Weaver threw well in his first start of the season against the Cincinnati Reds. He only lasted six innings thanks to the fact that he was asked to pick up a bat in Interleague play, but that should make him all the more ready to go in this game. Weaver has an ERA right around 3.00 against the Rangers in his career, and he is one of the few opposing pitchers that tends to have some better luck here in this ballpark. The Halos have won four straight against Texas with Weaver on the mound dating back to last season.

The Rangers have a lot of pressure on their backs to win series like this one. They are one of the better teams in the league for sure, but they are struggling offensively without Hamilton in the fold. The one bit of good news is that RHP Yu Darvish is going to be on the bump for this one. Darvish had every opportunity in the world to finish off a perfect game in his very first go of it on the season, but he fell a single out short. Still, there was no shame in his work against the Houston Astros, even if it did come against one of the lowliest lineups in baseball. Houston only mustered that one hit off of him, and Darvish struck out 14. It was a great game in terms of efficiency and command for Darvish, who has historically had a terrible time walking too many batters in the past. The Japanese sensation has pitched well in games after he posted a quality start, as the team is 6-2 in his last eight following a statistically solid outing.

That being said, we are wary of backing Darvish this early in the season after he threw over 110 pitches in his first outing. LA has a history of taking a lot of pitches, and it has a lineup that really can give the Japanese star some troubles. If Darvish does get into trouble though, he has a beaten up bullpen that had to throw a lot of pitches yesterday in the second game in this series. Back the Halos and the + odds to grab this series on Sunday night.
