Here is the MLB Picks for Saturday April 12, 2014.

Washington Nationals at Atlanta Braves

The Washington Nationals are the favorites to win the National League East and are also a favorite to win the World Series, depending on who you talk to, but the Atlanta Braves might have something to say about that. The Nats will start Tyler Jordan and the Nationals are just 1-4 in Jordan’s last 5 road starts. The Braves are 6-0 in their last 6 home games when they go up against a team with a road winning percentage of greater than .600 and 68-30 in their last 98 home games. This series is important to the Braves, although it is early in the season and they win this game and send a statement to the Nationals.

Free Pick: Braves

Oakland Athletics at Seattle Mariners

Although the Seattle Mariners are a surprise team early in the season, the Oakland Athletics are the team to watch. They should have one of the best records in baseball, but closer Jim Johnson has already blown saves on the young season. Sonny Gray starts for the A’s and he has allowed just one run per start this season. The Athletics are 6-2 in Grays last 8 starts and 5-1 in their last 6 road games. The A’s have replaced Johnson as a closer and that will equate to more wins on the season. The A’s get the big win against the Mainers.

Free Pick: Athletics

Toronto Blue Jays at Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles have had an up and down start to the season but could advance in the standings with an impressive series against the Blue Jays. Bud Norris struggled in his first start against the Detroit Tigers, but he should get on track against the Blue Jays on Saturday. The Blue Jays are 2-8 in their last 10 games when they go up against a team with a losing record and 5-13 in the last 18 meetings in Baltimore. The Orioles are 7-3 in Norris' last 10 starts and they win this game against the Jays.

Free Pick: Orioles
