There's not a whole lot of value in a money line trend on a -800 favorite, so cutting it down to ATS trends or small money line favorites made sense. Totals bettors can always find the top totals trends of the day and use the drop-down menu on the left for money line trends. For MLB, totals will be included, but they will rarely be included for the other sports.

A big day in the NBA is the focus for bettors as the NBA regular season winds down and the players look towards the playoffs or the offseason. It’s a tough time to bet the NBA with so many lineup changes and poor efforts, but you can use these trends as part of your handicapping. It’s also a big day in Major League Baseball with 14 games on tap.
Here are the top sports betting trends for April 13:
NBA: Memphis Grizzlies at Golden State Warriors (10:30 p.m. ET)
Trend: Play on Golden State against the spread in all home games. The Warriors are 26-11 (+13.9 units) this season.
Some major injury problems for the Grizzlies will lead to an inflated line in this game. A line will be out later this afternoon and most lines are not out as oddsmakers wait to see who will play. This could be used as the final big tune-up for the Warriors, who play a throwaway game against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night. Memphis’s Marc Gasol will miss the rest of the regular season and Mike Conley has been banged up as well. If the Warriors use this as their playoff dress rehearsal, expect this game to get out of hand.
NBA: New York Knicks at Atlanta Hawks (7:30 p.m. ET)
Trend: Play on Atlanta against the spread in all games. The Hawks are 49-28 (+18.2 units) this season.
The Atlanta Hawks are likely going to rest the majority of their lineup against the lowly New York Knicks on Monday night. This game has no meaning for either team, but the Knicks are tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the worst record in the NBA, so it would behoove them to lose. This will be a tough line for oddsmakers because the Hawks should still win with their bench players in the lineup. However, it may also draw less of a betting handle than other games for all the reasons already mentioned.
NBA: Dallas Mavericks at Utah Jazz (9:00 p.m. ET)
Trend: Play on Utah against the spread after allowing 105 or more points. The Jazz are 28-11 (+15.9 units) over the last two seasons.
With the Dallas Mavericks firmly locked into the #7 seed, it will be interesting to see how they approach Monday night’s game in the altitude in Utah. The Mavericks have won three straight, so they seem to have turned things around, at least temporarily, and that may play a factor in the line. However, the Mavericks may rest some key personnel and that could turn this game into a fun blowout for the Jazz. Utah should be favored when this line opens and bettors may be wise to avoid this game altogether. If you do play it, however, look for the Jazz only.
NBA: New Orleans Pelicans at Minnesota Timberwolves (8:00 p.m. ET)
Trend: Play on New Orleans against the spread in road games with a total between 199 and 199.5 points. The Pelicans are 10-1 (+8.9 units) this season.
The New Orleans Pelicans control their own destiny for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference and can move one big step closer by taking care of business against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Pelicans should be a very big favorite in this game because the Timberwolves are off of a long road trip to the west coast and have dropped 10 straight games. The Pelicans looked very tight in their last game and are just 16-24 on the road this season, but they are in a great position on Monday.
NBA: Chicago Bulls at Brooklyn Nets (7:30 p.m. ET)
Trend: Play on Chicago using the money line in road games when revenging a loss versus an opponent. The Bulls are 13-4 (+15.15 units) this season.
The Bulls face a tricky situation on Monday night. The Nets desperately need this game and the Bulls are only playing for seeding purposes. Are the Bulls going to match the effort level of the Nets, who can move a step closer to punching a ticket to the postseason. Oddsmakers also have a tough time in setting the line for this game. Pinnacle opened Chicago -2 and the number has ticked down to -1. Money line bettors looking for the Bulls may want to wait and see where the number goes.
NBA: Houston Rockets at Charlotte Hornets (7:00 p.m. ET)
Trend: Play on Houston using the money line in all games against a team with a losing record in the second half of the season. The Rockets are 23-4 (+17.75 units) over the last two seasons.
The Rockets are going to be heavy road chalk against a Charlotte team that has given up on the season. The Rockets are still playing for a division title and have fallen from #2 to #6 in the Western Conference. Houston should cover this number comfortably and, at worst, win with this big money line. The Rockets should be a good play in all formats on Monday night.
NBA: Milwaukee Bucks at Philadelphia 76ers (7:00 p.m. ET)
Trend: Play against Milwaukee using the money line in road games in the second half of the season. The Bucks are 4-23 (-20.1 units) over the last two seasons.
It took a long time but the Milwaukee Bucks finally clinched a spot in the NBA playoffs over the weekend. How will they respond against a lowly 76ers team on Monday night? The Bucks are essentially locked into the #6 seed, though they have not played all that well over the last couple of months so they would like to get some positive vibes rolling into the playoffs. The 76ers have dropped eight straight as they have mailed it in. Can they step up and fulfill this trend for underdog bettors?
MLB: Washington Nationals at Boston Red Sox (3:05 p.m. ET)
Trend: Play against Boston using the money line at home with a money line of -100 to -125. The Red Sox were 5-17 (-14.7 units) last season.
The Red Sox open up the home portion of their season against Jordan Zimmermann and the Washington Nationals. The Red Sox struggled last season as small home chalk, which is not surprising given the outcome of their season. They played a long series with the Yankees and have a quick turnaround from Sunday Night Baseball to this matinee home game.
MLB: Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants (4:35 p.m. ET)
Trend: Play against Colorado using the money line in road games against right-handed starters. The Rockies are 14-46 (-28.88 units) over the last two seasons.
The Rockies defied this trend three times in Milwaukee to open up the season and they’ll take their swings at Chris Heston on Monday in the Giants home opener. The reigning World Series champs will hit the field with a lot of fanfare as they get their World Series rings during a pregame ceremony. The Giants are a small favorite to slow down the Rockies’ bats and if recent history is any indication, they should do exactly that.
MLB: New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles (7:05 p.m. ET)
Trend: Play on Baltimore using the money line in Monday games. The Orioles are 16-5 (+13.75 units) over the last two seasons.
The Orioles welcome the New York Yankees to Camden Yards for this AL East set. The Orioles start with Wei-Yin Chen on the mound against Michael Pineda for the Yanks. The Orioles had some mixed returns in their series against the Toronto Blue Jays, so they’ll try to find some consistency against the Yankees. Mondays have been a good day for the Orioles and they’ll try to continue that trend as a -120 favorite.
