Here are the top sports betting trends for June 5:

MLB: Detroit Tigers at Chicago White Sox (8:10 p.m. ET)

Trend: Play against Chicago as a home favorite when the run line is priced between +135 and +160. The White Sox are 4-34 (-27.95 units) over the last three seasons.

Immediate money has come in on the Detroit Tigers on the overnight lines against Jose Quintana and the White Sox. Kyle Ryan is taking the ball for the Tigers, who have really struggled offensively over the last five weeks. Quintana has not been great this season, though his advanced metrics do paint a better picture than his traditional stats.

MLB: Milwaukee Brewers at Minnesota Twins (8:10 p.m. ET)

Trend: Play on Minnesota in home games when playing a team with a losing record. The Twins are 14-3 (+12.85 units) this season.

The Twins managed a split in Boston against the Red Sox and now head home where they have one of the league’s best home records to take on the lowly Milwaukee Brewers. The Twins send Kyle Gibson to the hill against former Twin Kyle Lohse. Overnight money has hit the market on the Brewers, with the Twins coming off of a long series at Fenway Park that included a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Bonus Trend: Play on Minnesota using the run line against teams with a losing record. The Twins are 26-8 (+17.25 units) this season.

MLB: St. Louis Cardinals at Los Angeles Dodgers (10:10 p.m. ET)

Trend: Play over in LA Dodgers home games against a right-handed starter. The over is 59-28 (+31.2 units) over the last two seasons.

Michael Wacha and Carlos Frias went over the total on Thursday night to follow this trend, and it could be right back in play on Friday. The Cardinals send Carlos Martinez to the mound against Brett Anderson. This total opened at 6.5, but the market quickly capitalized to send it up to 7. Both of these teams have solid offenses and are plenty capable of putting together some good offensive innings.

Bonus Trend: Play on Los Angeles in home games against right-handed starters. The Dodgers are 17-7 (+13.1 units) this season.

MLB: Texas Rangers at Kansas City Royals (8:10 p.m. ET)

Trend: Play on Texas using the money line in games against teams with a winning record. The Rangers are 12-4 (+13.32 units) this season.

Texas will get a stiff challenge this weekend from Kansas City, but they have not backed down from a fight at any point this season. The Rangers send Chi Chi Gonzalez to the mound for his second career start. He will be opposed by Edinson Volquez as the Royals look to get back on track after dropping a series to the Indians. The Rangers are priced nicely for underdog bettors in the +135 range.

Bonus Trend: Play against Texas using the money line in games with a total of 9 or 9.5. The Rangers are 18-43 (-27.15 units) over the last two seasons.

MLB: Baltimore Orioles at Cleveland Indians (7:10 p.m. ET)

Trend: Play against Baltimore using the run line in road night games. The Orioles are 2-13 (-11.35 units) this season.

Shaun Marcum and Chris Tillman is the pitching matchup to open up a three-game weekend set at Progressive Field in Cleveland. The Orioles have not been able to replicate last season’s success and enter this game as a -130 underdog against the surging Indians. Money came in on the Indians on the overnight lines for this game, so bettors are certainly looking to fade Baltimore on the road.

MLB: San Diego Padres at Cincinnati Reds (7:10 p.m. ET)

Trend: Play against San Diego in road games when playing against a team with a losing record. The Padres are 12-25 (-22.95 units) over the last two seasons.

The Padres make the long trip to Cincinnati to battle the Reds this weekend. The first game of the series will feature Raisel Iglesias against Tyson Ross. The Padres have been bet against a little bit on the overnight lines with the long trip. The Reds salvaged the finale of their series with the Phillies on Thursday night.

Bonus Trend: Play over in San Diego games following a win. The over is 18-7 (+11.3 units) this season.

MLB: Oakland Athletics at Boston Red Sox (7:10 p.m. ET)

Trend: Play against Boston in home games when the money line is priced between +100 and -125. The Red Sox are 9-22 (-16.65 units) over the last two seasons.

The Oakland A’s and the Boston Red Sox open up a weekend set at Fenway Park on Friday night. Left-handers Scott Kazmir and Wade Miley make up the pitching matchup for this one. The Red Sox are a small road favorite as the A’s are coming off of a very impressive series in Detroit against the slumping Tigers. Boston split four games with the Twins and cannot seem to get their offense going.
