Adam Burke began another week of terrific audio content at BangTheBook with his latest edition of The Bettor’s Box. This twice-a-week MLB betting podcast is filled with information and analysis on teams all around the league and with observations, stats, and suggestions that will help you become a better baseball handicapper. There is no better show out there for MLB handicappers of all skill levels and bankrolls. This show goes so far below the surface to uncover what you need to know to beat the oddsmakers that no other show can compare.

Listeners of the show can also hit Adam up on Twitter at his handle, @SkatingTripods, to talk baseball betting, topics for the show, or any other sport at BangTheBook. He’s always willing to discuss baseball, as well as the other sports. Don’t hesitate to ask him for more clarification about sabermetrics or about the observations that he has seen in previous games.

Going Beyond the Box Score is an essential segment to this show because it recaps the games that were just played and sheds light on what bettors can take away from the results. Four series were discussed on this Monday recording, with perspective on both teams that were in action. The New York Yankees swept the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Texas Rangers took two out of three from the Kansas City Royals and the Pittsburgh Pirates did the same against the Atlanta Braves. What should bettors look for from these teams in the near future and what did the weekend games show us about these teams?

It’s important to look at line moves and try to understand why they moved in a certain direction. Adam looks through all of the games between recordings to find the line moves that were the biggest and most significant. Learning to read the betting market is an invaluable skill in every sport, but certainly a money line sport like baseball. Why did these lines move and what pitchers should listeners be paying close attention to? This segment also included Adam’s leans for Monday.

Last Thursday, in a show that you should still listen to, Adam went down a list of 10 pitchers with intriguing statistical profiles. They were guys to either follow or fade over the next little while. On Monday, that segment was back, but with a twist, as Adam looked at teams to follow or fade in the coming weeks. It can be a little bit more difficult to peg full team regression as opposed to individual player regression, but there are some sequencing statistics that can be used to project future results. That and more was discussed towards the tail end of the show.

A lot of interesting series are coming up early in the week and you’ll want to hear what Adam had to say about the games that will take place before the next recording of the show on Thursday. Also, he gave out some important advice for listeners over the next couple of days.
