With another weekend of baseball in the books, Adam Burke was back on the airwaves to discuss MLB betting observations and insight on the latest edition of The Bettor’s Box. The All-Star Break is coming up and teams tend to re-evaluate their positions around that time, so it’s a big time of year to be up on all of the latest baseball news and notes. Baseball is also the only major pro sport in action right now, so there are a lot of new wrinkles when the public is diving headfirst into the action. Don’t strike out with your baseball bets this season. Use The Bettor’s Box to help you become a better baseball bettor.

Listeners of the show can also hit Adam up on Twitter at his handle, @SkatingTripods, to talk baseball betting, topics for the show, or any other sport at BangTheBook. He’s always willing to discuss baseball, as well as the other sports. Don’t hesitate to ask him for more clarification about sabermetrics or about the observations that he has seen in previous games.

One of the best things about this show is the variety of topics and segments. One of the staples of this show, however, is Beyond the Box Score, a segment that looks back at what happened in the days prior to the show. For the Monday edition, Adam took a look at two big sweeps, from the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals, as well as a key series for the Minnesota Twins that did not go their way. What can we take from these series moving forward? Adam had some great thoughts on the Chicago Cubs that you do not want to miss.

Line watching is one of the most fun and exciting, but also advanced, elements of handicapping. It’s important to determine the nature of a line move and also understand the logic behind it. It’s a good way to project future line moves and also see what teams and pitchers the influential money wants to get behind. This portion of the show also included a look at the Monday night card and a play for the evening’s games.

As part of today’s sabermetrics statistics discussion, Adam looked at three pitchers and used a buy/sell format to look at their performance and give some recommendations on whether or not their results are sustainable or not. The three pitchers in question were Jesse Chavez, Chad Bettis, and Marco Estrada. If these are guys that you have considered recently, or there are others that you are interested in, check out this segment and also tweet at Adam about those other pitchers.

With thoughts on what to look for early in the week and some key series, Adam wrapped up another solid show of baseball betting insight and analysis.
