It took a couple of shows to get back into a groove, but host Adam Burke absolutely killed it on today’s edition of The Bettor’s Box. BangTheBook.com’s MLB podcast goes to depths that no other MLB betting show would dare to attempt. With an emphasis on sabermetric analysis, Adam finds the valuable betting opportunities that you are looking for on a daily basis on the bases.

Remember that this schedule change is temporary. We will have recordings of The Bettor’s Box on Monday and Friday beginning the week after the All-Star Break and live BangTheBook Radio recordings on Wednesday and Thursday. This is only going to last a couple of weeks as we gear up for football season and look to recharge the batteries for the big push in late summer.
It only made sense for Adam to focus on games that aren’t included in his picks and analysis write-ups here at BangTheBook.com, but a special shoutout to listener mikeydfs86 on Twitter that asked for this change and his wish is our command. Prior to digging deep on today’s card, Adam reminded listeners of what the Trade Deadline means for betting purposes. We all get caught up in the fun and the news and the rumors, but what does it mean from a betting standpoint? You’ll definitely want to catch the opening to the show in order to find out.
Three games and two very strong opinions were discussed on this edition of The Bettor’s Box. The first one focused on the Los Angeles Dodgers and the St. Louis Cardinals and a line that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. There are a lot of reasons why Adam is digging one of the sides in this game and he laid all of them out for you on one of the strongest plays to hit the show in some time.
Another game under the microscope featured the free-falling Texas Rangers and the Kansas City Royals. Adam has been right on track with the Rangers over the last several weeks, but is this a spot to ride the fade train to profit? Tune in and find out!
Adam broke down another excellent betting opportunity between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Oakland Athletics. We’ve already seen some line movement on this game, but is it the right side? Has it added or subtracted value from his pick? There’s only one way to find out and that’s by tuning in to this installment of The Bettor’s Box.
A look ahead to some interesting games over the weekend wrapped up the show. Without lines, it was tough to suggest any picks, but listeners did get an inside look at what could be a very strong lean for Saturday’s card. A semi-bold prediction on a standings shake-up is something to follow over the next couple of weeks. You won’t find baseball insight like this anywhere other than BangTheBook.com and we’re happy to have you along for the ride.
