The Major League Baseball regular season is coming to a close, but there are still some playoff races to be decided in both leagues. Adam Burke was back on the air with the latest edition of The Bettor’s Box on Thursday to handicap those races and also talk about the baseball betting market and so much more. This twice-a-week podcast has been a great resource for listeners throughout the season and Thursday’s episode is no different.

Listeners of the show can also hit Adam up on Twitter at his handle, @SkatingTripods, to talk baseball betting, topics for the show, or any other sport at BangTheBook. He’s always willing to discuss baseball, as well as the other sports. Don’t hesitate to ask him for more clarification about sabermetrics or about the observations that he has seen in previous games.

The Bettor’s Box is all about baseball, but we have all kinds of phenomenal podcast content. Adam is also on The College Football Podcast with Kyle Hunter, recorded every Monday, the Gridiron Gambling Report with Cole Ryan, recorded every Tuesday, and Football Fridays with Joe D’Amico. A look Beyond the Box Score shed some light on series that have been completed this week or will be completed on Thursday. The Angels took two of three from the Astros to tighten things up in the AL Wild Card chase. The AL West race is the most exciting one left since the AL East seems to be pretty much under control as the Blue Jays took two of three from the Yankees. That series was also discussed. Beanballs were also a topic of conversation as Adam got on a soapbox about the latest incident between Manny Machado and Jonathan Papelbon.

Other results involving NL Central teams were covered before Adam segued into a discussion of the betting market. One of the most interesting things to see this week was the amount of line movement on Monday as bettors raced to get back their losses from the weekend of football. The sportsbooks had a good day on Sunday during the NFL, so seeing significant line moves on seven of Monday’s games was noteworthy. Fewer line moves dotted the market on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thursday’s card features 12 games as a handful of teams enjoy their final off day of the season. Some of the early games may seem some interesting line moves, but Adam’s focus was on the matchup between the Cleveland Indians and the Minnesota Twins as Thursday’s podcast free pick. Which side is Adam backing? Tune in to find out.

The weekend brings some very exciting series, including the Rangers vs. the Astros and the Pirates vs. the Cubs. Opinions on those series wrapped up another fine edition of the best baseball betting podcast in the industry.
