The first edition of the show for this week began with an examination of the news that Brad Ausmus will be retained as the manager of the Detroit Tigers. Adam had some very poignant thoughts on this decision and you’ll definitely want to hear those. Speaking of managers, Matt Williams and the Washington Nationals are heading for a break-up and Sunday’s incident between Bryce Harper and Jonathan Papelbon is going to be one more piece of evidence against the skipper when the Nationals outline the reasons why he was fired.

As for the games themselves, there was a lot to cover, including the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies, and the ongoing battle in the AL West as the Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim all jockey for position in the playoff standings. What happened in these series that was so significant and what do those things mean for the near future?

The betting market has gotten even more interesting with football season going on. Line movements are being driven by both public and sharp bettors after the public sat out most of the season. Football always brings out more volume in the industry and several key line moves were considered on this show. Also, Adam had two podcast free picks for Monday night’s action.

A look at the National League playoff picture and a preview of some of the early-week series that hold the most importance finished up the show. Who is Adam’s National League pick as of now? The answer may surprise you. Tune in to find out!
