It’s the start of a new week of outstanding audio content here at BangTheBook. Adam Burke kicks off his week of podcasts with The Bettor’s Box, our MLB betting podcast. There’s a lot to discuss regarding the ALDS and the NLDS matchups and those were the subject of today’s edition. He also took some time to discuss the AL Central Division for next season as all five teams seem to have a lot of major questions. The Bettor’s Box is all about baseball, but we have all kinds of phenomenal podcast content. Adam is also on The College Football Podcast with Kyle Hunter, recorded every Monday, the Gridiron Gambling Report with Cole Ryan, recorded every Tuesday, and Football Fridays with Joe D’Amico. As you will see at the bottom of this write-up, there are several places to find our podcasts.

The series between the Texas Rangers and the Toronto Blue Jays kicked things off as Adam enjoyed a nice bit of crow. The Rangers won the first two games and were in action as the show was being recorded. What have been the keys to the series for the Rangers? Why have the Blue Jays fallen short thus far? There was something that really stood out for Texas in this series that Adam really appreciated and he thinks it has been a key to the team’s success.

In the other AL series, the Houston Astros are one win away from moving on to the ALCS. A lot of key events in this series were discussed in this segment. The Astros and Royals have played pretty evenly for the most part, but better pitching and some more favorable situational hitting has propelled the Astros into the driver’s seat. What should listeners look for the rest of the way?

In the NL, the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals split the first two games of the series. John Lackey was great in Game 1 and some self-inflicted damage hurt Jaime Garcia in Game 2. What other key points were topics of conversation during this segment? Click Play to find out.

The New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers series was interrupted by a really unfortunate incident as Ruben Tejada was upended by Chase Utley on a questionable play at second base. That has become the focus of this series and Adam gave his opinion on what happened. After talking about the keys to the rest of the series, Adam gave three picks for Monday’s action.

The AL Central looks wide open for 2016 and every team has flaws. Tune in to find out what to watch for over the fall and winter months with these five clubs.
