The Bettor’s Box is the best MLB betting podcast in the industry and we are very fortunate to have it right here at BangTheBook. Host Adam Burke has given listeners outstanding insight throughout the season and has plenty more to give as things as winding down. The New York Mets have clinched a spot in the World Series and will now await the winner of the ALCS between the Kansas City Royals and the Toronto Blue Jays. With thoughts on the Mets, a discussion of the ALCS, and a look at the NL Central for 2016, this episode certainly did not disappoint.

Listeners of the show can also hit Adam up on Twitter at his handle, @SkatingTripods, to talk baseball betting, topics for the show, or any other sport at BangTheBook. He’s always willing to discuss baseball, as well as the other sports. Don’t hesitate to ask him for more clarification about sabermetrics or about the observations that he has seen in previous games.

We have an app now for your Apple devices. Please check out and download the BangTheBook app, which features a mock sportsbook, live odds, access to our articles, and more. An Android app is coming very soon.

The Bettor’s Box is all about baseball, but we have all kinds of phenomenal podcast content. Adam is also on The College Football Podcast with Kyle Hunter, recorded every Monday, the Gridiron Gambling Report with Cole Ryan, recorded every Tuesday, and Football Fridays with Joe D’Amico. As you will see at the bottom of this write-up, there are several places to find our podcasts.

The Mets finished of a sweep of the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night to advance to the World Series. Game 1 will be next Tuesday, so there’s plenty of time to break down the World Series, but they need to figure out who they will face first. The Mets were Adam’s pick for the World Series prior to the season, so listeners that got on board with that futures price are already looking at some profit.

What did the Mets do so well in this series? How about the Cubs? Where did they come up short? Both in this segment and at the end of the show, Adam had some thoughts about the Cubs and what the future holds for them.

On the AL side of things, the Toronto Blue Jays won Game 5 to force a return trip to Kansas City for Game 6 on Friday night. This has been a rather lopsided series, with the teams mostly exchanging blowout wins in Toronto after Kansas City took a 2-0 series lead. What should listeners be looking for in these games? Are there any edges to be gained from Games 6 and 7 that bettors can exploit and profit from?

Finally, to wrap up the show, the NL Central is a very interesting division for 2016. With three legitimate World Series contenders and two rebuilding teams, how will the offseason go for the Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and St. Louis Cardinals? It’s always good to look ahead and Adam has looked at one division at the end of each show. Click ‘Play’ to hear more about these teams.

Tune in to this week’s show for all of the great insight mentioned here, but don’t forget to catch recent shows to hear about the AL East, AL Central, AL West, and NL East for the offseason.
