There wasn’t a lot of quantity for this episode of The Bettor’s Box, but there was a high amount of quality. After closing up shop on the League Championship Series round, Adam shifted his focus to the World Series. This is a great matchup with the best starting rotation in baseball going up against the best contact lineup in baseball. That creates a lot of intangibles for this series and Adam did his best to cover everything that you need to know.
This should be an incredible series because both teams have different strengths. The Royals excel at defense and making contact. The Mets excel at getting strikeouts as a starting staff and getting just enough power and offense to get by. There are a lot of keys to this series that have the opportunity to really decide this best-of-seven matchup. Variance is always present in small sample sizes and these playoff series are no exception.
Adam had his World Series pick and talked about the reasons why that team could come out on top, including the value of home field advantage and so much more. The preview of the offseason continued with a look at the NL West for the winter months, with thoughts on the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, and more.
Tune in to this week’s show for all of the great insight mentioned here, but don’t forget to catch recent shows to hear about the AL East, AL Central, AL West, NL East, and NL Central for the offseason.
