College Basketball Totals Plays 2/27/18

We’re spinning our wheels a little bit with our college basketball totals, sporting a 21-19 record, although we’ve forced a few plays to get up to three or four on some days. We’re also 1-3 on games decided by one point, so a little shopping would probably have a slightly better record.

Game 540, Oklahoma at Baylor: The Bears are favored by 4 and the total is 157 in what should be an entertaining game. The two teams play different styles, so the oddsmaker pretty much threw the number in the middle. I made this one 166 points, so will go ahead and grab the over, even though it’s a bit of a public play, especially with the game being nationally televised.

Game 532, St. Joes at Rhode Island: The Rams are favored by 13.5 and the total on this one is 148, while I made it 140, so the first under play of the day in this one. Rhode Island can play some tough defense and St. Joe’s isn’t all that bad, but will have to keep Rhode Island from getting too many open 3-pointers.

Game 536, Auburn at Arkansas: Another game that could be fun to watch is this one, where Arkansas is favored by 2 and the total is 159. I made this one 167, so will have to take another over, as this line has dropped four points from its opening of 163.

Game 522, Bowling Green at Ohio: Ohio is favored by 4.5 with a total of 151.5, while I made this 159 points. Both teams are almost identical in points scored and allowed, both of which are over the NCAA average, so think the two teams can manage to score enough points to squeak over the total in this one.

Game 542, Kansas State at TCU: TCU is favored by 6.5 and the total is 147 in another game featuring teams who play contrasting styles. I made this one 153, so will have to take another over and go against a line move of several points, as this one opened at 149.

Game 498, Longwood at High Point: A pair of teams who don’t get on the board that often, as High Point is favored by 13.5 with a total of 134. The teams played twice this year and High Point won 75-55 and 75-56, so see no reason why this one should be much different. I made the total 128 points so will have to take the under in this one.
