NFL Rewind: Week 9

Week 9 in the NFL is behind us but it had plenty to offer as far as great games were concerned. The Patriots and the Colts had an epic battle and delivered with a great game and the underdogs were biting and plenty of blowouts were on tap. The Patriots and the Colts was the game to watch and it came through with a late comeback from Tom Brady and the Patriots. It was not without contraversy as the Patriots accused the Colts of cheating and the coaches blew each other off at midfield after the game. This has truly become one of the NFL’s best rivalries.

Beyond the line:
Beyond the line focuses on the betting angles for the NFL week and what was the most profitable gain on the week. Some nice underdogs won outright on the money line but the big winner was to be found elsewhere. If you wanted to win big this week just look towards the home team in the NFL. The Raiders, the Eagles and the Chiefs were the only home teams to fall short, depending on your line when it comes to making the green. They ended up with a sweet 11-3 record against the number and a big payday for home backers!
Big Dog of the week:
Buffalo, Green Bay, and Houston put up some sweet underdog wins this week as most of them won in easy fashion when they were supposed to lose, but none of them were awarded with the Big Dog of the Week. That award goes to the Minnesota Vikings. Adrian Peterson not only helped beat the San Diego Chargers but they trounced them in blowout fashion and were seven point underdogs. In a game they were supposed to lose they brought the Chargers back down to earth and showed they are not ready to defend the run. The Chargers may have had one eye on the meeting with the Colts when taking this costly defeat.

Fantasy Impact Player of the Week:
This week was the easiest week to pick the Fantasy Impact player of the week. The award goes to Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings. Like he has been doing all year he single handedly beat the Chargers while hammering the NFL single game rushing record putting up 296 yards on the ground. I guess he finally will be named the starter. After the performance put up by Peterson he is starting to be compared to some of the greats like Eric Dickerson and Jim Brown. Peterson is also be talked about as breaking the single season rushing mark as he already as topped the 1,000 yard mark and you can be assured he will be the rookie of the year!

Must see Game for Week 8:
Division play goes into full swing and there will be plenty of games to look out for. Monday night football boasts a great game between the Colts and the Chargers but the game to watch is the Dallas Cowboys playing the New York Giants. The Giants have revenge from an earlier meeting in the season and the winner will be the odds on favorite to take the division. It is Romo and a high powered offense against the stout defense of the G-men from New York.
