NFL Rewind Week 15

The season is winding down and the divisions are being clinched and home field is up in the air. That is just the start of the things that are left to be played for. The Patriots are still vying for perfection and home field is still up for grabs in the NFC with the Cowboys losing last week. The wild card in the NFC is still a heated race coming down to the Vikings, Saints, and the Redskins battling it out for the last spot. Before we look ahead lets look back at week 15 in the NFL and all it had to offer.

Beyond the line:
Beyond the line looks beyond the game and takes into account the Las Vegas line and how it played out for the week. The underdogs came back to bite this week after being on the outside looking in for the previous weeks. The underdog player that took every game on the board finished a bankroll padding 10-6 and cashed some nice money lines as well. Out of the 10 underdogs that covered the spread this week and amazing seven of them won on the field producing a windfall for dog players in week 15.

Big Dog of the week:
The big dog of the week usually scours the NFL looking for dogs that win outright on the field and choosing the one that made the biggest impact on the season with the win. With all apologies to the Philadelphia Eagles after the amazing upset of the Dallas Cowboys on the road last week they cannot be named the big dog of the week. That honor has to be bestowed on the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins finally got their first win of the season after beating the Baltimore Ravens in dramatic fashion in over time. The owner proclaimed the win was like winning the super bowl and the place was full of excitement after the win by the home team. For getting the first win of the season in week 15 the Miami Dolphins are the big dog of the week!

Fantasy Impact Player of the Week:
Two players get the fantasy impact player of the week because not only did they put up great numbers but they helped their teams get huge wins. In Miami Cleo Lemon put up huge numbers throwing for over 300 yards and getting the Dolphins first win of the season. In Cleveland it was Jamal Lewis running for over 160 yards and getting the Browns closer to that elusive playoff spot.

Must see Game for Week 16:
This week the must see game for week 16 is actually more than one but it all focuses on the NFC wild card. The Saints play the Eagles and they are in must win mode if they want to have a shot at the playoffs. If they are able to win then all eyes will turn to the Sunday night football game when the Redskins play the Vikings in the most important wild card game of the year. The Vikings can keep their impressive run going with a win over the Redskins and would virtually almost assure them a wild card spot. Keep an eye on the New York Giants if they are to lose to the Buffalo Bills they could find themselves in a must win situation against the Patriots to get a playoff spot.
