2008 March Madness Bracket Breakdown

The brackets have been announced and its time to dig your heels and break down the brackets looking for the best games, the possible upsets, and the team that can win it all. This is the first part of a series that will break down the tournament and each individual bracket and point out some great facts, possible Cinderella teams and help the sports bettor get the edge.

East Bracket: Let’s start in the East where UNC and Tennessee have the two top spots. And overall it is looking like the deepest bracket in the tournament.

South Bracket: Over in the south it is looking like the weakest bracket in the tournament. Here we need to look at Texas, Memphis and Pittsburgh the Big East Champion.

Midwest Bracket: The Midwest is tough led by Kansas. Future NBA picks of the NBA draft OJ Mayo of USC going up against Michael Beasley in the first round. That alone will be worth the great watch of two super stars that will be in the NBA as early as next year.

West Bracket: The West will be won by one of these 4 teams the always good Duke, Upstart Xavier, the reliable Uconn huskies or the historic UCLA Bruins.
