Spread: Arizona Cardinals -3.5
The Washington Redskins will have a short week to prepare for the game in the desert against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have bigger problems to worry about as they are still trying to figure out who will be under center for this week six clash.
The Cardinals are still reeling from an embarrassing loss against the Denver Broncos which left them battered and bruised. The Cardinals defense was lacerated by Peyton Manning & Co. as he lit up the secondary for over 479 yards en route to the blowout victory. The offense was not able to keep up once backup quarterback Drew Stanton left with a concussion. Stanton was playing because the regular starter, Carson Palmer was out with a nerve injury and that left the field general role up to rookie Logan Thomas.

The Cardinals will use the week to evaluate the quarterback situation. Technically all three QB’s have a chance of playing. Palmer is better with his shoulder, but needs to practice more to see if he is good to go. Drew Stanton would have to pass his concussion protocol. And third-stringer Logan Thomas will be ready to go again if neither of the aforementioned can suit up. However, if Thomas is going to be the starter look for the Cardinals to pick up a veteran quarterback during the week to back him up. If the Cards make this move it is a bad sign for the upcoming game against the Redskins.
The Redskins have a problem scoring the football and the fingers are being pointed at their quarterback. Cousins ranks last in the NFL among quarterbacks who have appeared in at least three games with a 49.8 passer rating on this down. Cousins has completed 21-of-37 passes for 204 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions on the money down.
Gruden on K. Cousins: "I think early in the game he was a little bit gun shy." Said as game went on he got into the flow; was more patient.

Cousins looked nervous early in the game and had trouble adjusting in the pocket. This has to be fixed quickly because he faces another tough defense this weekend.
There are plenty of questions that have yet to be answered when these two teams meet to duel in the desert.
