The Warriors started the season with four wins in their first five games, but it has been a struggle ever since. This past Wednesday night’s 103-99 loss to Dallas as 4.5-point road underdogs was their fourth loss in their last five games. They are now 9-7 straight-up and 7-7-2 against the spread. The total has stayed UNDER in 10 of the 16 games overall and in six of their last seven outings.
On paper, this team looks like one of the best in the league; ranking in the top 10 of the NBA in points (101.6), rebounds (44.1) and assists (23.6). Defensively Golden State is holding opponents to 97.9 points a game which is ranked ninth in the league. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are each averaging over 20 points a game and the team has a whole is shooting 47.1 percent from the field. Eventually this team is going to start winning games, but it has picked a tough spot to get that streak started.
Oklahoma City is coming off a huge 94-88 victory over San Antonio this past Wednesday night that snapped the Spurs 11-game winning streak. The Thunder covered as 2.5-point home favorites and the total stayed UNDER the 202.5-point line. They are now 10-3 SU on the year with a perfect 7-0 record at home. They have covered in seven of the 13 games and the total has now stayed UNDER in four of their last five contests
The duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook continues to get it done on the scoreboard with a combined 48.2 points a game which happens to be 46.9 percent of the team’s 102.8 point scoring average. Serge Ibaka leads the team in rebounds with 10.2 while adding another 14.7 points a night. The Thunder are shooting 45.3 percent from the field and 31.7 percent from three point range.

Golden State’s current form makes me question if it will be able to get back on track in a very tough place to get a win on the road. The Warriors may be a good team to go with in their next time out against Sacramento, but I would continue to fade them for Friday night.
Oklahoma City 106 Golden State 97
