The Vegas Golden Knights regrouped from a poor game one loss with an impressive game two win. Having lost 5-1 on Tuesday, Vegas came out of the gates ready to go and grabbed a 5-2 win on Thursday. Winnipeg actually led after the first period, but the Golden Knights scored the first two goals of the second period to take a 2-1 lead. However, the Jets kept fighting and tied the game up heading into the second intermission. Vegas woke up in the third period and scored the final three goals of the game to even the series up at one game apiece.
Mark Stone had a big game with two goals and one assist in the win. Chandler Stephenson added one goal and one assist on the night.
The Winnipeg Jets Can Take Control of This Series
Winnipeg may have lost game two, but they will head back up to Canada knowing if they take care of business at home they will win this series. The Jets went 26-13-2 at home during the regular season and two more home wins will put them in complete control of this series.
