ufc fight night 118 oddsDonald Cerrone takes on Darren Till in the main event at UFC Fight Night 118 in Poland on Saturday. It should be an excellent matchup, as Cerrone is a very good UFC veteran who comes into this fight with a record of 32-9-1 in his career, including 19-6 in the UFC, while Till is unbeaten at 15-0-1. The co-main event has Karolina Kowalkiewicz taking on Jodie Esquibel. Let’s look at the event with a focus on the main card and UFC picks.

UFC Fight Night 118 takes place on October 21, 2017 at Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland and features Donald Cerrone taking on Darren Till. There are four fights on the main card that can be seen on UFC Fight Pass and eight bouts on the preliminary card, also on UFC Fight Pass.

Donald Cerrone -150 vs. Darren Till (rounds 2.5 over -170)

The Cowboy has been very reliable in his career, with 19 UFC victories. He has strong stand up skills and he is underrated on the mat. Cerrone won four straight fights at 170-pounds but he is now coming off back-to-back losses for the first time in his career, as he was beaten by Jorge Masvidal and Robbie Lawler.

Till has fought four times in the UFC and has three wins and a draw but we still really don’t know how good he is, as his competition hasn’t been that strong. Wins against Wendell de Oliveira, Jessin Ayari and Bojan Velickovic and a draw against Nicolas Darby don’t tell us much.

Cerrone almost always dictates his fights with leg kicks and when he gets in close he goes right at his opponent. He also has strong skills on the mat and looks for the finish. Till is more patient and looks to counter.

UFC Picks

This is a tough fight to call, Till is being touted as a potential future star, but we still don’t know if he can handle top fighters. I will avoid a side and just look for this fight to go over the rounds total of 2.5.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz -465 vs. Jodie Esquibel (rounds 2.5 over -255)

The co-main event should be dominated by Kowalkiewicz who fights at home against a newcomer in Esquibel. Kowalkiewicz has far more experience and the home crowd edge. Esquibel is a decent striker but once Kowalkiewicz gets this fight to the mat it should be over.
